Anyone else going absolutly insane right now with school? I have 3, 10 to 12 page papers to write by tuesday, anyone else in my situation? Why do I do this to myself???

No, the real question is why do professors always wait till' the end of the semester to give all the work when they know all the other professors are doing the same thing?

(I am not a professor by the way, it's just a nickname.)

Yes, I think these college proffessors with their PhDs and all need to start understanding that. On tuesday I will be changing this thread to, "is it appropriate to get so loaded you don't know where you are after completion of any semester at college?"

im pretty sure the professors know exactly what they're doing. Welcome to real life where shit isnt dealt out to you in bite size nibbles, and instead you have to kick ass and take shit as its dealt to you. You'd think that kids who've been through 10 years of school or more would start to realize the patterns of semesters, test schedules like finals and final papers. Judging by the fact that you have that many papers due so quick, you've neglected to start them even close to as early as you should have. Im pretty sure its the professors that are laughing, amused by the fact that you are convinced they should cater to you, and that you are a victim.

so anyways, yeah same for me man, i always wait till the last minute and im pretty fucked too bwahahaha

finals are next week for me too. i dont have to write any papers, cause this is art school... but i have 3 design projects due. its hell but its worth spending the time on because my work is what gets my name out. if i do a half ass job on one design then people will think i always half ass things. the reason teachers give you so much work to do is because they are trying to weed out the people who arent passionate about their field of study, and put a spotlight on those who work hard.

but after this semester is over i will be kicking a couple times a day and sitting my ass in front of the wii to beat zelda. hard work almost always pays off.

Thats very true about the weeding out process. I am a social work major and I think my program has begun to realize that not everyone should be able to skip through this field. It has become a lot more difficult especially the prereq I took this semester because they don't want anyone wasting an agencies time doing their field work next semester. I don't even think I let too much wait either. I am very serious about school. I just happened to have a proffessor who thinks its okay to double the length of my final assesment from 5 to 6 to 10 to 12 pages one week before its due.

I'm supposed to have 3 papers to hand in today. I handed in one. The others will be late. One prof was sympathetic of my situation and now I just have find a doctor to give me a doctor's note for the one I've got a 5 day extention on. I am also taking a late penalty on one, but considering I have a 93 in that course, I'm ok with a bit of a penalty.

I am now cramming for a test I have in the afternoon.

Shit life sucks right now. I have one more week of hell to go though after this one. I have no more classes at least, but all those things need to be handed in late and I have final exams to study for.

I'm going to crawl into a hole and sleep for week after all this.
