the way I do them is do a small set so the bag isn't falling very far, get my foot under it like I'm going to do a dragon, and aim more for the toe than the outside. Learn gyro toes first, then concentrate on freezing them.

I was wondering what exactly was a toast, I seen that a couple of times, if I understand well it's like a rake but you let the bag pass on the other side of your foot(over) before catching it?

yeah mat, that is correct. i wrote the tip for "toaster", which is where you freeze the bag in gyro toe position.

okay, imagine you did a clipper set, and a back spin, and then caught the bag on the same foot on a toe stall. you would call that a gyro toe stall.

now, imagine you did a clipper set, then caught the bag on a same foot toe stall, THEN did the spin, AFTER you caught the bag. you would call that toast.

that is, if you want to accept kevin regamey's terminology like myself and janis have.

here are the clipper analogies:
gyro toe is to gyro clipper as
toast is to osis
