Have you read the first book of the bible. It's called "Genesis."

B'reishit barah elohim.

I agree with evolution, but the fact that god came before everything disagrees.

The first word, and the second letter of the 18th word in the 50th paragraph.

8) Good point.... I suppose...I don't remember anything in it that disagrees.. so for the sake of ease let's say you're right :D

What about god creating everything in 6 days?

Remember: I think the idea of creationism is laughable.

And God said, Let us make man in our image. - Genesis 1-26

If that is the case, explain why about 95% of natives in the Americas died of disease when the Europeans arrived, and an insignificant while an insignificant amount of Europeans died of disease.

uh hello ? Are you Serious ?

Those heathen natives lacked Jesus in their hearts !
I think it is obvious. God led his faithful from the
repressions of the state sponsored church of England.
They arrived in America, where they could be MORE
obedient to the words of the BIBLE. God sent a plague
to the Americas to demonstrate his power to the natives,
and interest in making the Super-Religious-Whitey the
new standard of expected obedience. When the natives
clung to their inferior ways, God let them die.

I love all your responses to subjects such as these. So sarcastic, witty, and hilarious.

Not entirely true, unlike you I don't have the time or the inclination to investigate it.

Footbaggers are less religious than the general population because they are younger.

That would be a conceivable argument were it not for the fact that native Americans who converted to Christianity died of diseases at a far higher rate than native Americans who kept their old religion.

I've always thought it was funny that elephants evolved from little rodent like things that were semi-aquatic...

I didn't have to go very far to find one. Chapter 1 of Genesis:
11: And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so.
12: The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
13: And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.

This happened on the 3rd day of Earth's creation. In reality, plants took a couple of billion years to evolve after the first single-celled organisms appeared on the planet.

a billion human years maybe, but the bible is talking about days of the earth ?

You know how like, one human day is measured by the earth revolving on it's axis ? Well, earth days are measured by arbitrary units of accomplishment.
It's just a God thing, you get used to it after a while. It does make the bible confusing though.

Sure but the word used in the ancient Hebrew (Yom) for day, is only used in the context of a literal 24 hour day through out the rest of the bible. Either they changed the definition of that word just for the first chapter of Genesis, or it actually literally means a 24 hour day.

You know... if days are supposed to be 24 hour days, why is it off by a little bit...
