Hey Taylor

 Illusion BS. Then Illusion > Pickup > RPT
 Near and Far Legover and Pickup all BSOS in the same run (total 16 contacts, 8 toe moves, 8 clippers)
 Make Christine get Lavers
 Pickup x 10
 10 infinities, if too easy 20 infinities
 Mirage > SS Mirage RPT, if too easy 12 contacts
 SS Butterfly > Osis > PDX Mirage > RPT
 Osis > SS Butter > RPT

And I bet you could totally hit ducking clipper BS if you tried.

Thanks guys!
it was nice meeting all of you at worlds, Zeb i think i might have been in a circle with you for about 2 minutes during some routines or something. anyways, last night i had time to footbag for about 15-30 minutes and hit:

Butterfly>Pdx. mirage Rpt.
Osisx8
20 ss clipper bs
ssbutterfly>osis>pdx mirage rpt.

I don't think anyone's game at Worlds impressed me as much as yours did Taylor! You keep this up, and I'm confident you're going to be nothing short of world class in no time at all.

Things to try:

- starting from toe: ss osis > pdx mirage > opp osis > pdx mirage > rpt
- butterfly > pdx mirage > ss butterfly > pdx mirage > rpt
- butterfly > ss mirage > butterfly > ss pickup > rpt
- ss butterfly > far legover > rpt .......I don't seem to recall you doing any far legovers in Orlando. Maybe you were, idk.
- [mirage > ss mirage] > rpt > [mirage x3 > ss mirage x3] > rpt
- mirage x5 > ss mirage x5 > rpt
- legover x5 > ss legover x5 > rpt
- pickup x3 > ss pickup x3 > rpt

The longer drills are obviously going to be tougher, as they demand near 100% consistency, but I think you could do them. Just make sure you're executing everything as efficiently as possible, and it'll be CAKE.
I'm aware that you've hit the pickup drill, but I seem to recall it being considerably weaker than your other toe stuff...so just hit it again. ;) Oh, and remember to resist the urge to "scoop" each delay, eh?

- ducking toe x 4
- diving toe x 2 (both sides)
- ducking toe > diving toe > rpt
- starting from toe: ducking clipper > ducking toe > ducking toe > rpt
- ducking clipper x 2
- ducking mirage?

There's this thing I used to do when I first began to try ducking tricks: Set the bag to the height at which you would normally duck it, but don't. Instead, just close your eyes for a split second. Practise doing that more and more, and try increasing the time for which your eyes are closed. It may help to train your mind to get used to just "knowing" where the bag is without necessarily being able to see it. This comes back to your sets having as little arc as possible: if it's up and down, you should know generally where the bag is, and where it's going to be once your head gets out from underneath it. Make sense?

- legover > pixie legover
- mirage > pixie legover
- pickup > pixie legover

The basic idea here is this: You've got a universal "start position" for your entire toe trick repertoire. It's all begininng from the same spot (or rather, it should be). SO, theoretically, you should be able to link any uptime component FROM any downtime component. It's all about balance. If you finish legover correctly, you should be able to pixie out of it just as easy as if it were simply a toe delay. Same goes for mirage, pickup, illusion, dlo, eggbeater, doublepickup, massacre, barrage, and anything else that ends on toe. (My biggest challenge right now is flail(symp illusion) > atomic. I really want atomic flail > atomic flail.)

Same goes for clipper of course, but who needs 'em, right? ;)

ABOVE ALL: Keep in mind that if it's taking you more than 10 tries to hit something, you'd probably be well advised to take a step back and work on the basics. Absolutely, it can be fun to go big...but in the end, that's all it is. Fun. Your body isn't really going to learn anything from trying paradox drifter just yet. If your intention is to practise, you should be training your body through consistent repetition, not teaching yourself how to drop.

I think that's enough for now. Get to it. :)

..oh, one more thing:

- illusion. :P

Throw in some paradox illusions in place of mirage in a bunch of the aforementioned drills for something different, you'll have more uniques as well as working your muscles for eventually adding atomic stuff. Also, the best pixie drill for me was (and is) plo > smear rpt. or plo > plo.
Today is what you make it. So, like, don't screw up the recipe. ^^

Thanks Kevin for all of your help at Worlds, i really appreciate it. and thanks for all of these drills! i've had a bit of time to footbag and have updated my list at the top of the page. some things i hit that wern't really challenges were:

ss legover x3>legover x3 rpt
clipper>clipper rpt. [the clipper where it's like a drifter without the dex]
pickup> sspickup rpt. [trying not to scoop]
butterfly>far legover x5 for both sides
butterfly>mirage x5 for both sides

Great to hear that pixies are working out! Can you repeat that PLO>smear?

How about more new tricks? Your foundation moves all sound like they're coming along, and you could get the hang of more 3's while you solidify your BOP game.

There are too many to learn all at once, but the next step for you might include whirl, drifter, dlo, spinning, ducking, stepping, or double around the world.

Definitely focus the most on your foundation tricks. Learning to do longer strings will be much more productive than hitting big moves at this point. But you're progressing very well, so it's a good thing to spend a little time each session trying new things.

I challenge you to hit:

pdx mirage>legover>butterfly>osis>infinity>osis repeat
pixie same mirage x3
dimwalk>pdx mirage repeat
15 ducking clippers each side in one session
A string of 10 BOP's, all mixed up.
whirl>infinity repeat

thanks for the challenges and advice chris, i really appreciate it and i should look at this thread more often

i've been working on some basic drills and working on pixie sets. they're starting to almost have some sort of consistency. i still need a lot of work on them but i'm finally seeing some results! today/since i last posted i've hit:

legover>ss legover rpt. 20
ss legover x 5 > legover x 5 rpt.
mirage>pixie legover bs
legover > pixie legover bs
pickup > pixie legover bs
legover > magellan bs
ss legover > magellan bs
ss mirage>parkwalk>osis bs
ss mirage>dimwalk>osis bs

the x5 legovers really made me smile! Glad that the whole odd-numbered repetition dealio is working out for you! I'm sure it'll be no time at all, and you'll be throwing a pixie set in front of all those. :D

Feel like updating us on what your abilities are like now? Y'know, so we can all challenge you appropriately. :)

(That's a request for a new video btw)

go taylor! Cut down on the lag time between plos, that's my next challenge. those are a VERY important thing to drill. The pixies lead to quantum sets, and the legovers lead to illusions. Also try pixie pickups. How about infinities back and forth? I challenge you to hit 50 b2b.

once you can do 8 or so b2b, 50 will come quickly. just focus on your breathing and your form. you can do it.
BRICK!
