What’s your sport? Are you into “korfball,â€

Word up homes! Erik you should organize that so all the major Canadian cities with good active shredders can send someone... Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal... any others I forgot. Let me know if you need support from IFPA.

I received the same email.

I think they got the address from the .org site and used club listings to spread their word.

I don't have a Petro Canada anywhere near me.

Maybe you had to do something before the date they listed (15th). I wasn't clear, either. I didn't do anything about it, mostly because I can't play consistently (injuries) enough to represent, but also because it just seemed like spam mail, and I wasn't sure of the validity. Petro Canada is a pretty big company in Canada, though. Manitoba, anyway.

I dunno.

The deadline was extended to today (18th)... so any Canadians interested, go check out the website now and see if you can do anything about this!!

What's with them doing it at 10:30am on weekdays in most cities? Also the contestants are drawn randomly (only 20 get randomly selected per city). Silly.

Hi everybody,

so the presentation went great but we didn't finish in the top three.

The top three is
1st: ultimate frisbee : well known sport, very well explained and animated by two people.
2nd place: duathlon: the girl presenting it was very convincing and cute.
3rd place: pumpkin throw!: the guy who presented it was acting and had a very good presentation and an authentic love of the Olympics.

We did a presentation mixed with live freestyle both single and doubles. I kicked a little bit, did around twenty easy moves and finished with few four adders. I did drop on the last trick which was in the double freestyle part at the end of the presentation.

Everybody could have win this, everybody presented a sport that could be in the Olympics, except the pumpkin thrower. Also, the criteria for the judges were creativity, enthousiasm and Olympics will.

We had a good time, they took care of us with good food; breakfast and dinner, a cap and a bottle; thank you Petro-Canada.

There's chance that we will have a video of this presentation, someone was filming all the contestants. Another good note about this contest: I met the pumpkin thrower who is also a new contact for sports news in my region.

The contest is not finished yet, they will present four videos at http://revezgrand.ca, all winners from four differents cities, from monday November 5th, and YOU can vote for the winner.

better luck next time,

Cool, I'm glad footbag was presented at this. Silly or not, these kind of things are like the lottery: you gotta be in it to win it. At the very least it's more exposure for the sport, as well as more practice for us doing presentations.

Good work Seb and PP.
