What are your favorite weights and fill amounts for bags? Why?

i like 60-80 grams. heavier bags give me more of a feel for a bag. Makes it feel like im actually making contact with something.

I like to fill 1/2 full. gives the bag a more stally and less rolly feel.

I like 57grs heavy, half full bags.
But I play minis.
Regular sized bags should be a bit more heavy, I think.

Floaty little spheres that weigh about 49-53g are perfect.

Any heavier and they fall to the ground too fast and take too much effort to set.

Depends on the size. For biggish-medium sized, probably like 65.

For mini's, anywhere from 50-55.

It really doesn't matter as long as it is stitched well and the person who filled it knows what they are doing.

Not necessarily. Heavier bags won't fall faster to the ground over a lighter bag. That is when your talking about the heights bags reach when footbaggin. I experimented. Heavy bag (70g) vs light bag (50g). both fel at the same rate. both hit the ground so close to each other that the split seconds aren't worth making your bag lighter/heavier for any benefits. The only variable i can think of that would make a bag fall faster would be size. And since most bags are golf ball sized there isn't that much of a difference anyway.

So basically, fill your bag to your liking.

The reason they hit the ground at the same time is because falling speed increases at 9.8 meters per second per second, barring fluid friction, no matter how heavy something is.

yeah, and since it only takes a bag 1-2 secs to fall to the ground from like 6 feet it doesn't really make a difference.

I agree with 2/3 of that^^^^^^^^^^^^. 52g's if I have a choice on the bag. Heavier bag may not fall to the ground faster. But it does take more effort to set. I can tell the difference between 50g my bag and my 55g bag.

55.5g for bags that are golfball size or larger. 50 grams for minis. 66.6 grams for larger hacks in general.

Also, bags don't fall faster no matter how heavy they are. Heavier bags will be harder to set with, however. Newton's law.

I agree with alot of what has been said. I like my minis about 45-55 grams, lighter for kicking and heavier for tearing it up. But I think it is the fill ratio that makes the bag seem to "float" in air. Half full bags have a split second longer apex. Full bags seem to go straight from rising to falling. It isnt a matter of how heavy or big, its how much fill is in it.

I like between 50-55 which I think was considered heavy up until, like, the past year-ish? 80g??? Wow.
I have bags from when I started playing that were, like, "average" at the time (Carol + Juice bags) that weigh, like, 24g... (ONLY poly pellets?)

You're still a lightweight, Chris.

I'm sorry. It was just way too obvious not to stab at it.
