last session and next one

Post by Sébastien » 20 Nov 2007 09:34

hey everybody,

Monday, I played with Mathieu at NDA for more than an hour and a half.
I played freestyle for the first time since I came back from Paris.
The French Open was an excellent party and playing time, by the way, I had a tremendulous time. I will go back soon, I hope.

My freestyle trainning focus mainly on consistancy cause I want to drop less and have a better form on harder moves. I don't intend to enlarge my repertoire soon, the reason is that it can lead me to unwanted injuries for doing weird stuff that my body don't want to do.

I still managed to hit stuff I liked:
-a run with blurriest and blurrier bsos
-a run with ducking barfly, diving barfly, and their toe version, all on the same side
-finished my session with zulu barfly
-got an up on gyro diving DOD
- sick3: blurriest>gyro DLO>pixie paradon and blurriest>flurry>pixie paradon.
-ripwalk>blurriest>ripwalk>repeat
Good training
My knees feels good.

We are planning the next session at NDA to be Wednesday, November 21st from 1800 to 2100. Marc and James confirmed, others might show up.

Tonight: Net practice...

Sessions havent been all about me lately, a good change :D

I started working on a montreal video.
I'm going to make player specific sections, but for that to work I need a lot of footage from players.
My section is finished, but I had lots of stuff from myself from past sessions. Now I need to gather stuff from Seb and Ianek, and maybe Marc if he shows up !
James is a lost cause  (you know I miss you master of disaster)

" Je reviendrai à Montréaaal, à bord d'un boeing bleu de meeeer...."

à ce qui paraît il y a de la neige en masse. Avec un peu de malchance, je devrait affronter le prochain hiver au Canada (pas sur pour le Québec car avec un peu de malchance, j'aboutirai à Ottawa si j'obtiens le job que je veux).

Bon A+ et shredder bien.

Augustin! You'd better visit Quebec, otherwise, I won't do anything. You've been warned.

FINALLY PLAYED FOOTBAG! As I mentioned before, I was in Quebec City for 2 weeks, but I had work every day and it just wasn't possible for me to kick at all then, so now that I'm back I can kick.

SO yesterday was a little quick reintroduction session with Mathieu, and I can fairly say we both sucked yet it went well. I'm confident I'll be playing at a good level again after 3-4 more sessions, and hopefully nothing comes up that's going to stop me from playing again.

I had a smooth level of progression throughout the session, from RockBottom Shit all the way to Garbage, but still hit at least one or 2 decent strings, even though they were quite short. It's too bad that the only footage of me online seems to be when I haven't played in a while.

Honestly guys, I fucking rock, it just never shows!

Mathieu was sick (literally), and it always is frustrating to kick while sick because you KNOW you can play better then you are there. Still, he hit a bunch of Dishwashers (A vortex with a low set... because Dishwashers are like mini vortex's) in a row, and a couple of nice drills.

All in all, our 1 hour of filming got about 2 minutes MAXIMUM of useable footage, including stuff that normally only makes it into the "bonus" category of movies (aka, stupid shit).

SO, next session: Friday, I think.

Peace.

Hey,

I had a good session tonight with Mathieu and Marc. I played for 2 hours which is longer than usual and I hit some stuff I haven't hit for a long time.
I think Matt Cross is going to be happy...

Wiktor: My knees are good enough and always getting stronger from playing freestyle at low level. I still think they're not 100%. Anyway, I'm coming back from twisting my right knee two years ago without surgery, it takes time, and I don't mind, freestyle is fun. Have fun at the Zocha Jam this week-end. Djinn dobre to everybody!

Augustin: Je me croise les doigts pour ta nouvelle job. Montréal a reçu une bordée de neige qui a durée deux-trois jours et les principales artères ne sont pas encore dégagées... Bonjour chez vous.

Nick: you better be there friday so we can kick it together, then you might show me why you fuckin rock.

Hey Nic, for sure i'll visit Quebec if i'm back from France.
Thx Seb, hope i'll get the job i apply for. But the chance i get it are pretty small, but if it work, i'm gonna be a university teacher and this will definitly rock.

Nice to see that Montreal crew is doing well. Hope i'll be in Montreal as soon as possible but i think it won't be before next summer.

Well, shred hard and hope to see you all as soon as possible.

A+

MAAAAAN I want to kick!!! I hate work for that, I never seem to have time to do anything even though I have more time then ever. Weird, isn't it?

SO. Tuesday kick, for sure, regardless of circumstances I WILL make it. Hopefully.

Chicago is looking bleak right now too :( I was without a job for a certain period of time, so all my bills have piled up and I got to think about what to do. Ooooof.

We'll see.

I want to kick as much as possible, and fucking winter is making it tough as well.

UGH.

Ps: Mathieu you rock, I'm glad to see you improving a lot. You're video was awesome too. Maybe we can do a 2 man project video, just me and you? I never have good footage of me online and I can play better then what most people see. SO. If I practice hard and we film like 2-3 sessions we could make something sick. I'll pay you? I'll call you too.

Peace for now.

Bought my plane ticket, CHITOWN HERE I COME!!!!

Bam.

Other then that, kicked yesterday but was drunk so it didn't go so well. I'm going to NDA again tonight, and plan on winning at footbag. Not losing.

Things are going well for me! For once! Fuck. I love it when life "clicks" in to place.

Peace. I'll update this bitch once I kill some tricks.

What's this? You've been back in the city and haven't called me Nick??

For shame!

I'm comin' back ya'll...

I've missed the crew, I haven't played in over a month. I'm back on nightshifts so at least the money situation is back in order. My foot is still messed up but I think I can finally play on it. I need to start working out again and playing a lot of footbag, at least 3 times a week. I don't want to be good or anything, just have fun and stay in shape.
This thing we call footbag really is a unique and fantastic thing, never forget that.

Kicked hard yesterday, it was a rewarding session because I could feel all my BAP-powers coming back in the last half hour of the session. I love it when time slows down when you play. Once you hit a high enough level it becomes a passive ability, so it's active all the time.

Excited for CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!

p.s: For fuck's sake James, turn your phone on and maybe someone in this world will be able to reach you?

Thanks, first-mate-Doofus, but there's a problem? You never told me or anyone else on Planet Earth (TM) that you have a new number? Let alone gave it to them? My bad though, my telepathic reception seems to be on the fritz lately.

The mystery deepens....

I'm shredding in a church after tomorrow. Last kick before going to Chichi. That's my new unflattering term for NYJ for no reason. I'm sort of feeling OK, and hopefully I'll play well once I get there.

See you Goomers there. KA-PEACE!!!!!!!!!

finally played footbag again! Just a lil' refresher to get back in the groove.
It's a new year and I feel great. Footbag and juggling are both going to have a place in my schedule and I'm going to be one motherfucking badass ninja.

Gonna hit up the Montreal crew for a session next week after I sharpen my blades a bit more.

peace out till' than homies
