NOTHING could ever make me drink another energy drink ever again.
We did an experiment in our anatomy class where we checked our pulse rate and blood pressure before we drank a red bull, 10 minutes after, 20 minutes after, 30 minutes after, and 45 minutes after.
My pulse actually went down for each one, and my blood pressure stayed the same. Most people just stayed the same.
But yeah, energy drinks aren't good for you. They're fun though.
I agree with Dave.

They don't bother me. Sometimes I drink them at work or during a session with water. You do gotta be careful with those, though. The thing that baffles me is that they are bad for you in large doses, so the makers doubled the size of their cans...ok? Anyways, I like Monster, Red Bull, Lost, and that Blue Demon. I'm really liking the juice based ones a lot.

i had my first red bull in 2004, and it was after a hardcore 6 hour session. i went to the bar with vandall after the session and i was starting to crash, when this girl came by and gave me and vandall these "redbull" drinks which i had never heard of before, but the girl said it was an energy drink. Derek tried his and said he didn't like it, so i drank mine then followed it up with his...
Perhaps it was some combination of the intense physical exercise, the beers, the dehydration, the sleepyness and the redbull, but when i eventually got home i lay in bed untill 5 am with the shakes, cold sweats and hot flashes.
I never got the shakes that bad ever again, but i still get a little shakey when i have redbull.

I have used them to help get ready for sessions, and the less intense ones, drank with lots of water, can be okay for a session. I also like black coffee as a pre-sesh energy drink.
as for stitching, I wouldn't want to shake that much, so I just drink some coffee before I get to it. Energy drinks would be overkill.

I drink them during those I-need-to-focus-and-not-bash-my-head study sessions.

Cool picture Gielnik. I haven't heard of over half of those brands.
I find that coffee wakes me up way better than an energy drink. The actual caffeine content of coffee is higher, but energy drinks have a ton of weird shit like Taurine. I don't know if that stuff does it for me.
