Yeah that Redbull an old contact, she gave me that business card when Matt got her to come out to a session before GRASS 1. Who knows if it's still her number, or if she still does Redbull promotion... only one way to find out.

oops, Mike, I didn't know you didn't have the Xs guy's number. I have one of his cards and will try to remember to call him this weekend.

Josh in the Cizzy? Nice.

Question to Paul and Chris, would you two be interested in putting together a short GRASS 2008 promotional video. Paul, I know you have your camera back and are probably itching to use it. I will have some time during these next few weeks and would love to do the editing. Let me know what you think. As for the video, I was thinking something short and sweet, like a 30 or 60 second promotional video with action shots of us playing, some flashy title screens and animations, and then online links and contact information at the end. Let me know what you think. Also, if anyone else from the RFA (Matt Cross) is interested and we setup a filming date, you are more than welcome to be a part of it. All those who help out will be rewarded with dinner at my house.

Peace.

this saturday and next saturday, I have gigs. they tend to keep coming, as well. what about a sunday afternoon filming session?

we should also get some still shots against a white background of various moves... flapper stall, PS whirl, flail, superfly... basically, symposium stuff is the most photogenic, as far as I can tell.

or how about this for a logo... the footprint of a worn-out laver in the middle of the shirt for the front (super simple) and on the back, "GRASS 2008... stand clear of the blades" as if to imply that the wearer has been trampled by a mid-shred footbagger. also, stand clear of the blades was the original BAP catch-phrase.

keep me posted.

Sounds good Matt. I will do a little photoshop today and see if I can create the front logo according to your description.

Matt,

I am glad you like my avatars. I try to keep them fresh and funny.

As for GRASS. I have a question regarding time. The current competition events listed are Sick 1, Sick 3, TEN, Circle, and Routines. I imagine we will split these up into two days. My question is, from your experience, how much time do you think we will need to complete all of these events. I want to send a request to Jeff Peden of the RIT Juggling Club to get blocks of time established so that we can have the floor (main floor if at all possibile) and play music, routine music, and make announcements without interfering with the juggling club activities. I plan on us having a nice sound system at the event as well.

Also, we will need judges and the more the better. There will be Full-Time Judges - those who will judge all events except the times they are competing - and Alternate Judges - those who only judge when there is a Full-Time Judge competing. Once you have committed to one of these positions you will be listed on the first post of the GRASS 2008 topic. I will also post this request in that topic.

Jeff Peden has made some contacts regarding hotel group discounts. His email to me stated he should have more information later in the week.

Peace.

Hey Rochester people!!

my band is playing in Rochester TONIGHT at Monty's Krown on Monroe Ave. There are two other bands, and we go on first at 10 PM. Only a $3 cover charge. 21+

I'd love it if some baggers could make it out to this. Sorry for the short notice, but if you've got the time, it would be great to see you guys.

I saw Matt's show on Saturday and was very impressed. The in house sound system did not allow for Matt's voice to come through loud and clear, but I could hear that he was right on. The beat box song was well received by the audience. They seemed like the kind of people that came out to see some talent and not just watch a band sound like the radio.

Great set Matt. I am sorry I was not able to hang out with you longer.

Peace.

Hey,

Back in rochester in 2 weeks. I need to relearn footbag, I have most likely forgotten everything by now.

Let me know if you need me to do anything for GRASS.

Can someone send me a picture of the sole of a worn Rod Laver? I need an example to make a t-shirt logo. Sadly, my lavers do not wear in a typical fashion as I am not a typical shredder.

Peace.

Hey guys. So my spring break is next week, March 1-9 and I was wondering if anyone would be down to kick during the week or maybe next weekend? I'll be in NYC this first weekend but I'll be in the ROC the rest of the week. Hope we can play, I haven't had a session in much too long. Peace.
