Name my cat!

Post by Psilocybe » 03 May 2008 19:33

In celebration of graduating from college and landing a job, I'm getting a traditional siamese kitten! I'm thinking of naming him/her....Osis! Names don't have to specifically be related to footbag but I think it'd be cool.

Here are some pictures the breeder sent me. I get one of those monsters! :)

Brain? They kind of remind me of Brain from the old "Pinky and the Brain" show.

I have a dog named otis at my parents' house, but I just call him osis.

i used to have a friend with a bearded dragon named Paradox Atomsmasher.

I am a fan of human names for pets.

I didn't name my cat but his name is Dave.

Dave the cat.

When I talk about Dave people assume he is a person, I lols.

Human names for pets make me laugh everytime, especially if you know someone with that name.

Name him Paul
or if it's a girl name her Jessica
There is always a bigger trick.

Go watch a vid. of Dylan Fry.

One reason I don't like human names for animals is that it genderizes the pet. Why does a cat need a gender if it's going to be "fixed" anyway?

But if you were to give it a human name, I like Bruno for a male. I knew a Bruno in high school.

Footbag names:
Blizzard
Dolomite
Feral (ha)
Genesis
Gilan
Haze
Icon
Juno (Reactor)
Nova
Quagmire
Sasquatch
Sumo
Wookie

I've named over 50 animals in my lifetime, all with wicked kickass sounding names. Here are a few I thought of for your cat. Keep in mind I have never met your cat, and it will be up to you to choose a personality fit from this list.

Shoe
Pacayas
Apprentice
Turk
Gilbert
Kapputz
Aphex
Maxwell
Moo
Chron
Gates
Dawg
Barrington
Choctaw
Joose

Overpopulation is worse than a one-time surgery. Removing the front or front and back claws is "barbaric," but making it so an animal will not spray or get pregnant is just smart.
