Nothing much, I just felt like releasing some new footage.

The following 2 things pretty much cancel each other out:
1. You are an amazing freestyler. Your whirrs, ripsteins, and double spins look effortless and fun. I'd love to be able to play like you. I'd love to see good footage of you.
2. This is the worst camerawork I've seen on a video. I wouldn't have released this.
I hope you make more video in the future, and that it's shot better. I really want to see more of your game, and less of your park.

I have to say, Ken, you are probably the single worst thing that's happened to footbag since I started playing. And I mean that very seriously.
You have demeaned our sport, you have treated me and other members of BAP with disdain, and you have failed to grow as a freestyler beyond the basic point that you've been at for the last 5 years.
The thing I have the hardest time with is your forum persona. You think you own the forum. You say things that you probably think are setting a high standard but in reality you are just making yourself out to be a total douche.
Honestly, with this kind of negativity and down-right stupidity you exhibit on the forum, I think the world would be a better place if you just didn't post. I certainly don't want you presenting freestyle footbag culture to the newer kids on this forum, because honestly you're just fucking the whole thing up.

Ken, I have wanted to tell you this for a long time, and this comment pretty much left me with no other choice than to tell you how I really feel now.C-Fan wrote:This is the worst camerawork I've seen on a video. I wouldn't have released this.

Lauri,
SICK double spins. i didn't even realize most of them were doubles at first, they just looked so effortless. And the way you throw down the ripsteins so snappy is really awesome. I'd like to see some more videos from you, especially because we appear to have very similar body types, so i think i could learn something from watching how you do your ducks, spins and whirrs, as mine are terrible.
Paul Munger: Way to throw your BAP weight around, big guy! Would you like a stool to help you down off that high horse of yours? "you have treated me and other members of BAP with disdain" I did not know that being in BAP meant us low class freestylers had to worship the ground you walk on. I'll be sure to treat you extra super special the next time we meet, simply because you used to be good in the 90's.

Was that post for real?
Edit:Paul Munger's of course. I've never heard of him.
Edit2: Who would take offense from the camera work comment anyway? It was obviously just placed somewhere. All Ken was saying is that he likes it when he gets to see more shred and less pavement.

Wow. I haven't gotten to the video yet because of all this Ken-hating drama. Way to hijack a thread and kill the mood Paul. I seem to remember Ken recently tying Bevier in routines, beating out David Clavens in the process. Judging by your post count it strikes me that your average is looking pretty bad- regarding motivating, uplifting posts.
Let's nip this in the bud.
1. I think my last post in this thread was a fair one, and I stand by it. I gave Lauri one of the strongest compliments I've made on the forums, and commented that the camerawork was awful. Considering that there were like 3 runs where all you could see was his arm, and that the other runs had his feet cut off, I don't think my critique of the camerawork was out of line. I never said anything personal against Lauri. Frankly, I'd much rather people compliment my game and critique my camerawork than vice versa. I think people on this forum (and anywhere in life) should be able to express their opinion as long as it isn't offensive and they are respectful, and that's what I did here.
I think we should cultivate an environment where people aren't afraid to call "the" or give constructive criticism, especially when it's done respectfully. I don't see very much value in an environment where people feel constrained to only giving compliments.
2. I don't personally know Paul Munger, and have no idea why he felt compelled to attack me like that. Frankly, I really don't care. And while it's sweet of people to come to my defense, I feel very secure in my game, my achievements, penis size, self confidence, etc.
3. This should be a thread about Lauri's video, so rather than continuing with the hijack, I recommend people either post in my
blog or start a separate thread if they want to insult me. The one positive I hope comes from this thread is that people pluck up the courage to not self-censor themselves, and give constructive criticism when they feel it is proper.

Ken,
Did you by chance watch this video on .org without downloading it and without making it go full screen? I find that doing so often causes the video to be cropped to a large degree which is what I believe you may have experienced. The video when viewed in full shows all parts of Lauri at all times.
Lauri,
Great video.

Lauri,
Great video.
Brian Cooper
I watched this video at work, so I didn't download it, and that's exactly what happened. I thank you for tipping me off to this, because now I got to watch the video the way it was meant to be seen, and I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more. Obviously, I now retract my criticism of the camerawork, and leave only my compliments of Lauri's game.
If anybody is curious about what I was talking about in my first post about the camerwork, just watch the vid directly off of footbag.org, and you'll know what I saw.
Thanks for figuring this out and helping me Brian (instead of insulting me like other people), and thank you Lauri for the excellent video.
