Lauri - short park session
At first I really couldn't understand Ken's point about the bad camerawork so it left me no other choice but to think that he just wanted to be an asshole. I can't say the camera work was good either but I didn't think it was the very worst. I'm glad you got the misunderstanding solved and I understand Ken trying to be creative instead of just picking people, so there's probably no reason to offence him. However, you did give people a reason to insult you. Even though the camerawork would have been bad by the way you thought, I think saying " I wouldn't have released this", is somewhat unnecessary. Some people still might owe you an apology.
I think some of the comments are little overreacting (about the shred that is) but thanks anyways.

Lauri,
I really enjoy the video man, everything looks great and really effortless! You have such a control many people can only be dreaming about! What I didn't like was the music, if you ask me, I prefer live sound to anything else. I know you've been skooling some genesis lately, please throw a few in your next video!
Props to Finland!

Great stuff Lauri; really high level shred. Of course I know that's how good you are, but it's great to see footage. I was just saying last night to Max B how whirr used to be a hard move, and now it's just another 4 add. Ripstein is going that way as well.
Also on the issue of "worst camera work ever" - clearly the worst camera work is from TV news stations filming footbag. Shots of a guy's head and chest while playing footbag don't make the sport look impressive...
I absolutely agree with this and I think it's a serious problem that people who give criticisms face such so many ad hominem attacks and insults. There were a few people in this topic who made utterly pointless posts that only encourage people to keep their opinions to themselves. Paul's post is an example of this, but so are many of the responses to it. You guys are just as bad as each other.C-Fan wrote:I think we should cultivate an environment where people aren't afraid to call "the" or give constructive criticism, especially when it's done respectfully. I don't see very much value in an environment where people feel constrained to only giving compliments.

Nice video. I would however recommend moving the camera closer to you during recording. Aside from that, the shred was great. From the waste down your shred reminds me of Honza Weber which I say as a compliment.
Peace.
P.S. I like Ken and what he has done for footbag.

Sorry Lauri, I really liked your video. Especially liked the nice location, ripsteins, inspinning/double spinning, and whirrs. I didn't mean to destroy your thread like I did, I apologize.
Ken, I still think you are a douche. It's unfortunate that your being a moron was the source all this.
