Jordan Alejandro : 2011 East Coasts Write-Up
My name is Jordan Alejandro, Ive been kicking since the summer of 08', but Ive only been playing in the summer months. So collectively only about a year of play for me! I have some foam matts now, so I should be kicking more often and now that I know Chris Winkle lives 10 min away from me, Ill have a rad player to shred with! Footbag is only getting better for me!!

hey dude good to see you starting a blog. I see you post everywhere and I wanted to know what level your game is at. What are your average string lengths? You say you can do all the tricks, but how's your consistency?
I don't know if you have a challenge thread, but some things that helped me learn consistency were some basic both sided drills.
mirage>ss mirage>rpt
illusion>pickup or ss illusion>rpt
mirage>legover>rpt
legover>ss legover>rpt
clipper>near pickup>rpt
clipper>near legover>rpt
clipper>near mirage>rpt
clipper>bubba>rpt
clipper>clipper>rpt*as many contacts as you can. First try to get five, then ten, then fifteen, then twenty
I don't know where you are in your game, but being able to hit these drills on command is going to really up your game. once you have all your clipper based drills down, you can substitute clipper for butterfly and go from there. Good luck and keep on going! it sounds like if you're stitching, you'll stay with footbag at least until the fabric runs out

Those are good drills.
I also highly recommend finding somebody else to play with. If you can get a local friend into it, great. If you can find somebody in your area who is willing to teach you, even better. Where in South Jersey are you? Maybe you can go visit Bob Riefer or Jon Schneider or something.
I look forward to getting a bag from you and reviewing it.

hey meng!
Footblogs are a great idea, it helps you keep track of how far and fast you progress and is a great place for people to leave ya feedback.
Where in south Jersey are you? I ask because I live in Philadelphia, so depending how far south you are, we could shred sometime. I don't have a car but may be able to bike if not too incredibly far.
I suggest working on your foundation tricks and stalls, clippers, legovers, ATW, pickups and mirage are essential the foundation upon which your can build your game. Practicing these tricks increases string length and will increase endurance. It takes practice but you'll definitely begin to notice improvements quickly.
Edit: Are you free this upcoming weekend? there's an event in NYC hosted by the NYFA crew, should be a great time, try to check it out.

i can do about 15 tiltless...
Mostly repeat tricks...
But a drill that I like to do is
Mirage>ATW>Legover>Pickup (all those tricks are going from right to left back and fourth... I thaught it would be good to work on bothsidedness )
but I will try those challenges out today, thanx
and I would chill with you duffelbag, but your kinda far away
and sadly i cant make it out to NYC this coming weekend... Its such a dissapointment
anyways, keep giving me more challenges, I like them
thanx
