Thanks Drew.
Last night I got back from Cleveland for American Cup II. I did pretty well and had a lot of fun. Didnt shred at all last week so I could be as fresh as possible for practice and the meet.
Shredded for about 30 minutes today. Left leg mirage is really coming along. I am pleased to say that I hit my first ever clipper mirage on my left leg... Its been a long time coming. Right is solid, left not so much.
Also hit paradox mirage without a plant a bunch of times. It feels great to do it, much more relaxed and controlled. It looks better to.
Peace.

Played barefoot for about ten minutes yesterday and hit pixie mirage! It was so sweet. Tried to hit it at school on the slippery gym floor... with pants on... I fell and looked like a fool. Probably will barely play today cause of skating.
I want to come up with a sick three for the beginner online competition. I think I might have one that I may be able to hit. I just need a usb so I can take videos off my moms camera. So I dont know if it will happen.
Probably wont shred until friday.
Peace.

Shredded when I got home today for about 45 minutes. Did pretty well. No highlights really. My left butterfly felt very good. It kinda "clicked" I guess. My left mirage is feeling good. Almost hit paradox mirage with out a plant on my left also.
One highlight:
-Left butterfly>right butterfly>left butterfly>right osis
That felt pretty good.
Meant to stitch tonight, but never go to it. Hopefully this weekend.
Peace.

It doesnt play that good. It kicks alright, its just very rolly.

I havent played a lot lately. On friday i had a good session. No real highlights. My left mirage is feeling good. I tried stepping... Didnt work, but I footed it once. I need to keep working on my basics. My goal over the next months are to get to BOP level. I pretty much have it on my right side, but nowhere close on my left.
I started another bag on Saturday, and let me just say that it looks awesome. I tried a different technique, and it is working out great. The bleed holes are so good looking and none of them are turning inside out. And the color choice it sweet to. I will post a pic when I finish.
Peace.

3000 views!
Yesterday (Thanksgiving) I kicked with my older cousin for a long time. He isnt very good, but he can keep it up. He was suprised with my skills cause last time he saw me I could only do an inside kick.
Today I shredded for about an hour. I was hitting everything I wanted. I hit smear (sounds way better than pixie mirage) on my first try, and several times after. I also hit ripwalk from my left leg a few times!! I was awesome. Couldnt hit it with my right though. Spinning clipper on my right was good today too, i hit it a bunch of times. I figured out that you need to spot the bag after you turn as quickly as possible. Going back to the basics; back to back legover. First time I have hit that. Also left mirage feels good and right illusion is getting better. Still 'the' though. I am happy with how I am playing. Run length is slowly increasing. My goal to be BOP is coming along quicker than I thought. My left osis and butterfly are starting to progress. I should be there in no time.
Finished my 6th 32 the other day. The bleed holes are great looking; I am definately sticking with this new technique. On my next bag though, I need to stitch closer to the end with less gather. For this bag I stitched deep with a lot of gather, which made it very rolly and a full feeling. It doesnt stall well because I think there is to much fabric inside the bag, without enough shot. Yesterday I tried my first 4 panel. It was harder than I thought. I spilled lead shot all over, and spent a good half hour picking it all up. I ended up breaking the floss when it was almost done. Stupid move. So I had to give up on that bag.
My Dufflebag is so choice now. It is very stally but still sets great. I need to convince my mom to let me get another one. Its the best bag I have ever had.
Keep it real.

Shredded a ton yesterday.
I drilled flip mirage, strong illusion, both sides legover. Also drilled left butterfly a lot and left osis. Also drilled stepping a ton. Its the first time I ever have, but its definately my favorite component. I find that it makes doing mirage from clippers much easier if I think of it like stepping, then just toe stall. Same with legover from clipper. Ripwalk is a ton of fun.
I am really feeling comfortable with the bag on my feet now. I feel like I can control it more. Just last week, I think from not playing much, my left ATW was week. It was pathetic. But yesterday it was the way it should be because I have just been playing so much. I wont play for a while now though, leading up to another skating meet this week.
I have been stitching today, and this bag is going to be my best. I am using a lot less gather, but the bleed wholes are still nice. I am phsyched to finish it.

I was on my moms email the other day, and saw mail from Freedom. I checked it out and it was a receipt. New Q2's for Christmas. Same color as the ones I have now. She thinks the grey and white are ugly. Unless she is going to start shredding, I think they will be mine  .
Peace.

Josh, nice that you're getting Q02's, i got some Q03's and they were unsatisfactory :(

Can ya make the picture of that bag bigger? And a closer picture? haha as is, can only really see just a spherical object...

Try messing around with different sized templates too!

Got back from Wisconsin for North Americans last night. I did well and had fun.
Shredded just a little tonight. No highlights. Just trying to get back into it. My recent bag didnt play to bad. For the next bag I am going to use a smaller short side hex ratio. I think that will make the bleed holes even better.
Peace.

Played great tonight.
My osis and butterfly are feeling super good on the left. My left butterfly is almost solid and my left osis is getting there. Hit left ripwalk a few times tonight, but still not on the right (set w/ right).
Got out of school an hour early today cause of the terrible weather. Its really icy out. A snow day is possible for tomorrow, but I dont care either way. If we have school, I get a new bag from Eric. If we dont, then I get the day off. Its a win/win.
The bag has yellow pents with black hexes. I saw it today, but I just didnt have the money with me.

The power was out from Thursday night to Sunday night.
On Friday I hit ripwalk on both sides and played pretty well. Spent most of the session trying to hit this Sick 3, which I finally did. Its was sweet:
Ripwalk>Butterfly>Paradox mirage.
I also finished my 8th bag today. Its nice, but the bleed holes are still not up to par. I used the same size pent that I have been using, but an older hex size with smaller bleed holes. It came out well.

Updated first page.
Well... My dog ate my alltime favorite bag. Drews. Heres the story: My mom was decorating the Christmas tree and I was carrying down the boxes from the attic. I had my bag out and was just foolin around with it in between. She asked me to go let the dogs out. I put the bag on the table and did. I proceeded to go onto the computer after letting the dogs back in. I heard my dog chewing on something behind me, and I assumed it was his bed, so I told him to stop. He continued, so I turned around to see a very slimy footbag. CAUGHT IN THE ACT! He pretty much destoyed a few of the seems, and I dont really know whats going on with it. Its not fixable by me.
So... The good thing that comes out of this: I can look at how Drew stitched the bag, because thats what I have strived to model mine after.
The bad thing: My dog puked in my bed that night from eating 20 grams of lead shot.
Yay for dogs and footbags.
Today I kicked with my bag. The blue and maroon one. Its actually a decent bag. It has a lot of control and is the best bag I have kicked (the most fun). It just doesnt look good, and sometimes one bb will fall out.
Before Christmas: I have to stitch a bag for my dad. Hes been wanting one for a while. I also am making one for my skating coach because he would think it is cool. I hope this next one turns out well. I think it will.

Agreed. The acidity from the puke would probably make the lead shot more coarse, and therefore better performing (I think).

I'm not sure what your poll is asking of me, but to my knowledge I guess I put 10 knots per one pentagon. I utilize 2 "stoppers" per one side of the pentagon. I've also experimented with sewing 5 knots per pentagon, and that makes for a sweet bag as well if done correctly. I was never a huge fan with sewing a pentagon flower straight through, because I always seem to over-gather my pents in a way.

If you need any advice about stitching, feel free to shoot me a PM and I will gladly help however I can.

Thanks for the comment Waylon. I will probably ask for help in the future.
I had a good Christmas. Apparently I was fooled, and I am not getting new Quantum 2's... But instead my mom ordered Black Q3's! All she could give me for it was the email that Freedom sent to the customers who ordered them. I cant wait.
I havent really played much lately, except for just kicking with my cousin at all of the Christmas parties and such. Hopefully today.
I have been stitching, and my last bag came out great:
-4 stitch (my first one, my next may be one too, I like how it feels.)
-2 color atomic; Pony print surrounded by maroon.
-heavy.
This bag is not my favorite play wise, because its too heavy. But its definately my best made bag. I had to put one thread through a few bleed holes inside the bag, because I knew that it would leak there. It still leaks where I closed it, still trying to figure that out.
I am using a new template for this next bag, hopefully the bag I give to my dad. Here it is:
-Pentagon Length : .70 inches
-Hexagon Long Side Length : .69 inches
-Hexagon Short Side Length: 25 %
We shall see how that works.

4000 Views!
I tried to play yesterday but my knees were killing me, so I ended after about 5 minutes.
Shredded for about a half hour today, and did very well without any pain. I was happy with how I played, being that it was the first time I had a session in about 2 weeks. Drilled clippers at the beginning, and spinning clippers and osis.
Highlights:
-Up to 5 on right leg in triforce drill
-Smear>Butterfly>Spinning Clipper
I played the entire session with my bag. I may be biased, but it plays super well, even though it looks like crap. Its really cool that I am finally playing with my own made bags. When I first started stitching, that was a goal, and it seemed so far away. It came quicker than I thought. I still have a long was to go though.

Shredded for a half hour.
Played well, drilled left clipper mirage and left butterfly. Left osis is coming around. Kicked a lot.
I tested my most recent bag (the black and print) and its to heavy. I do not like heavy bags.
This morning in our circle, something cool happened. This kid kicked it and caught it on his lap, then tried to do a sort of right butterfly from there. He failed. As soon as I got the bag, I landed it first try(its pretty easy). They thought it was cool that I had never tried the move before and was able to hit it first try. I also hit smear and spinning clipper with Nike frees on and baggy pants. Pretty sweet.
I havent been able to motivate myself to trace and cut. I need to learn Matts way, its just confusing... If we have a snow day tomorrow, I definately will.
Peace

Shredded for a half hour again today.
Smears are feeling great. Spinning clipper is getting there. Now to learn them on the left side  .
Left osis, mirage, and clipper mirage are all coming around, which I am happy about.
Almost hit spinning butterfly today. Hit left spinning clipper.
Didnt stitch today.
On Friday after school, I am going to Canada to watch a Junior World Cup for Short Track. Its going to be so cool. Because of that, I probably wont play for almost a week...
