I've just been browsing the Boston Big Picture website;

http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/

Wow there is some amazing stuff here! I'll post some of my favourites, but I thought a general amazing photography topic might be cool :)

Pretty much every photo from The Big Picture is incredible though, so check it out.

Some of the warzone sets are a little graphic (not gore, but just a warning).

A lot of those were really incredible. Thanks Jeremy. I usually don't have much of an appreciation for photography, but I really liked these.

Very cool. I like the second to last one and the one in the rain the most.

No worries. Feel free to post any cool photos that you see in this topic as well - I don't have to be the only person posting photos :)

Change of pace. These pics are awesome. I love trees. I would say there's about a 33% chance I'll do my phd on something tree related (it's either that, insects or something practical relating to food crops).

This topic has kind of turned into a second blog for me, but whatever. A few people enjoy them so it's not a complete waste of time. Disappointing that all those tree ones broke. If you follow the link I posted with them you can still view them though. It's just that they've stopped people from linking to their photos.

Here are some more good photos from the boston Big Picture blog;

Actually the whole Asian games set was amazing. The other stuff recently has mainly been a little boring.

The only interesting photo from the Islam set;

There are also tonnes of good photos at the zooborns blog; although mainly only because of the subjects;

http://www.zooborns.com/

Unfortunately they're [self censored] and don't allow you to link their pictures either.
