The first prototype arrived last week. The materials are strong. The sole is the best sole for footbag that I have ever seen. The shoe is a true fit and snug when laced. I sent it back for a few minor adjustments and then production will start. I will post pics of the next prototype with logo. I am very sorry this has taken so long. I am so excited that sleeping is hard to do. I will post more info as I have it.Richard Abshire

Cale, he's already sent it back for a couple of adjustments.
Hopefully he'll post pics when he gets it back

i'll bet you're right, which is what makes me sad. we really don't need another laver ripoff, so i really hope it isn't!Matt Cross wrote: I bet that drawing is at least 75% accurate.

Well... it's like guitars... lavers are like fender stratocasters. very simple, relatively inexpensive.
There are copies of the stratocaster made of cheaper parts with cheaper manufacturing processes that make for lesser quality guitars.
There are also copies of the stratocaster that are handmade with boutique materials, and, while they maintain the strat "sensibility", a lot of the particulars of the copy are really much finer than the particulars of the original.
Let's hope Richie's is one of the latter,
that is, if it IS laver-like...
