905 Shred Return From the Dead?

Post by Skippy! » 03 Dec 2008 20:14

Yeah, that's right. Well, we didn't really die...at all. But we didn't put out any videos for a really long time. But now I do that stuff a lot for other things, so I figured I'd branch into footbag while I'm at it. So here's a little teaser for all you oldies who thought that we were floating in oblivion somewhere:
http://v.footbag.org/media/947/905shredreal.wmv

Oh, and in case ya'll forgot somehow, you right click that link and save it to your computer. Unless footbag.org lets people stream again...ah well.
Enjoy!

fun session, guys! I liked tom's string with all the 5s, dan's string that ended with a garage door punch, and Liam's guest appearance!

I will be up to visit in january, I gotta see you guys again.

maybe I can fuck shit up with tom for a few days after NYJ? we'll see.

Your style/form is really great Tom. Your barflies are the coolest in the whole entire world. Not a joke.

Nice tiltless the rest of the video, some unexpected 3's come to mind (a really well done dlo?). Also liked the pickups. :D

Yeah I do this sweet thing where I improve a bunch and then disappear for months on end and completely suck afterwards. So, 3 or 4 years now after starting footbag and I'm still a horrible one-sided tiltless, but still! With any luck we'll start putting out more vids and it'll push us all to get better quicker.

Hey tom, how long did it take you to learn how to backflip and how did you start learning? It's something I've secretly wanted for a long time and doing them into foam pits and pools just doesn't quite cut it, it seems.

Yeah and no one commented on it until now. I was thinking about that.

Tom I never thought your caliber of play was that high (to be honest this is the first time I've watched you play). But the barfly string alone speaks for itself.

That is all.

Carry on please :)

The second half of that sentence makes the first half very confusing to me.

and yes, tom has awesome barflies.

hehe you're surprised that someone with over 6000 posts on a hackysack forum is pretty good at hackysack? :P

Thanks for the compliments everyone, it's super appreciated.

andrewgrant - I only play in cutoffs now, it's like I get to play in tights but somehow it isn't totally lame.

Uhm, well I had recurring dreams of them for years and about this time last year I started going to these adult gymnastic classes. It took me a few weeks after being given a formal lesson to finally step up and just do it.

But now I hit em first try every time.

This all said, it made the backflip dreams go away but now I have recurring dreams of a slightly harder flip I can't do. :P
