Simple concept. The GTA and surrounding area has a huge number of active players. We should have more Jams!

Each city/town could host a jam every month. (toronto/Oakville/Hamilton/Guelph/Brantford......even kingston isn't THAT hard to get to.)

That way we could be one big happy community instead of a few clubs who happen to meet occasionaly. It would also allow some of us that have busy lives to know far in advance when they should spare some time for a footbag jam. This kind of orginization may also encourage other players from the surrounding areas to make our Jams a stop on their journeys. With the numbers and talent in the area, we could have a real world class scene here.

Thats all. Let me know what you think.

Finally!

Things are going to change, for the better!
First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

Hear Hear..

This post is dedicated to the start of Toronto hosting none other than Flavio Loetscher from Switzerland. Everything is still vague to me, but the information I possess is that he will be coming here in early April, and I'd like to make Toronto one of the stops in North America to be a splendid one.

Scenario One: Flavio comes on a weekend. We should unite as one and make a Jam happen.

Scenario Two: Flavio comes during the week. Who has time on their hands on which days, wouldn't mind showing Toronto around, etc?

As for sleeping arrangements. Regarding either scenario one or two, who would have crash space? I certainly have offered mine, but since I live in Hamilton I figure it might not be as exciting, especially because I'm far from a party animal. I figure that I will be able to pick Flavio up from Pearson and drive to whoever's house, assuming it doesn't interfere with some really important lab or something.

Any ideas? Should we get the Anssi venue again and have at it?

10 april Ottawa-Toronto
16 april Toronto – Rochester

Those are the dates that dear Flavio will be visiting Toronto. TENTATIVELY

It seems as if Adam Greenwood and I would be the most willing to host Flavio, however, we both are students and have exams, and it might not work out to entertain him for the time he is here.

I personally have 2 exams during the time he is here, and wont be able to devote much time to anything but them. I'd be willing to drive him places if necessary, but, with calculus and physics exams I will be pretty bogged down.

Who has free time?

Greetings SOB players.

I’ve been having people come to my house on Sunday’s, which is in Oakville. It’s fairly close to the GO Station if you are able to catch that (you actually get off at the Clarkson stop because that stop is closer to my house in Oakville then the Oakville GO Station stop). If you come from Toronto or Hamilton, it's going to be a little over 10$ for the train ticket there and back.

The turn out as been good, averaging about 4-5 people. I've been playing with Johnny Sudermon, Jay Boychuck, Jorden Moir, Tom Mosher, Dan Cyr, Adam Greenwood, Josh G (though not for a while), Larni from Austria, Adam Lap, Jon Haber (kind of) and a bunch of new players. I've been in contact with some other players like Camille, but at Sudermon's suggesting, I'm posting this on modified (and at Matt Cross’ suggestion, I’m posting this in more than one area of the forum). Sorry if I spelt your name wrong

If anyone is interested in coming I’d love to have other people come. This Sunday December 20th, Tom Mosher and Dan Cyr are coming. I’ll be making this either a weekly event or bi-weekly event, but I’ll decide that in the New Year when people’s schedules become more routine.

Have a good day.
