Dawn of the Shred (12 parts) (streams now available)

Post by Zeb Jackson » 23 Apr 2011 21:44

So, Ive decided since its about 2 years old that I'm going to release ALL of Dawn of the Shred to the public. DOTS was a DVD that I and Eric Chang created from a BUNCH of events that happened in 2008 and 2009, and it features some of the best players in the world. Since soon I will be releasing the 4kast dvd i thought that this would be a nice precursor to the launch of the movie. for now I'll just upload the downloadable versions of the sections, but when when I have a little more time i'll upload streamable versions.

Im not asking for any money but I put 30-40 hours into editing this dvd plus I spent lots of hours uploading and placing them into this thread, not to mention the countless hours Eric Chang spent filming at all of these events. So if you feel like donating a little my paypal is vizibility0@yahoo.com

FOR THE BEST QUALITY DOWNLOAD THE VIDEOS

my apologies for the mega upload links, i used that website because i was able to batch upload all of the videos at once.

If you watch these videos, please tell me which ones are your favorite, why you like them, etc :)

I think it is important to note that the intro to the dvd was also interesting as well, :) There were some nice credits and just a compilation of jokes and smiles at the end. It was nice.

My favourite sections were always the NYJ part II, and the part with Jim Penske at the end. He has one swirl drill, ugh, makes babies cry oatmeal.

What the hell?! Where's the one string Eric filmed of me at NYJ? It was so good, it had a clipper and a legover in it.... Sheesh!

:P

Thanks a lot for putting these online. I haven't watched all of them yet but so far my favorite it the NYJ one where the camera goes around the room near the end.. and yes this is my favorite because I'm in it, despite the brevity. Also, ya know, Sudermans flaring double pickup didnt hurt either...

Also, what happened to Ben Skaggs? That guy was really good.

Just want to apologize to the good footbag community of how long this took to get out. Zeb says it took 40 or so hours to edit :) But it took a lot more than that!

Hours were spent trying to find the right songs, and even sorting the footage alone took a good 100+ hours or so.

All in all this was a huge project that we tried to take, and I know I bit off more than I could handle.

I think the worst part is, filming so much in footbag and having to work on DotS burnt me out of footbag.

I really do hope people enjoy the fruits of our labor, (including the footbag players that were in there). But at least the community gets to see some intense shred.

By the way, I hope this means the 20 hard copies out there are worth a bunch now :)

Finally got around to downloading some of these. Only up to NYJ part 2 so far, but damn, so far so gnarly. Great job filming and editing these, Zeb. Soundtrack choices are very fitting. Can't wait to crack into the rest of these. It's kind of depressing watching these, because it reminds me about how late I got involved with footbag... but depressing in a really cool way 8) I just wish I would have found the sport sooner than I did, so I could have seen some of these up close and personal.
