Good to hear you've been training your 2's. I actually had the same thing happen, people told me I needed to go back to basics, but I really WAS. I just wasn't posting about them... only the new tricks I'd been hitting. Sorry about that. You can definitely continue drilling only your 2's, but if you REALLY want a strong game in the future, you should definitely master 1 adds. If you start at 2 adds, I feel that you will have a pretty solid game in the future, but you might have a couple annoying holes in your game. For instance, I feel that since I hit all of those 1 adds on bs 100 times, I have little-to-no holes in any of my 1 adds. My 2's, 3's, 4's, and 5's (maybe even 6's?) got a little taste of that very basic work and little parts of those tricks were improved (but I don't really realize it yet, since I haven't tried a lot of those bigger tricks in a while).
ie. I know you have a pretty good Paradon, but to get even better at Paradon (and beyond), you would follow something like this (I have my suspicions that Peter Irish did this for all of his bigger tricks he hits.. I might be wrong though. If you watch his game, you'll see what I mean)...
1 add) Get sick at Toe Delays, get sick at Clipper Kicks (Meanwhile, your 2 adds are getting stronger, without you realizing it...)
2 add) Get sick at Illusions, get sick at Clipper Delay (Meanwhile, your 3 adds are getting stronger, without you realizing it...
3 add) Get sick at Delusions, get sick at Reverse Whirls, get sick at Butterflies (Meanwhile, your 4 adds are getting stronger, without you realizing it...)
4 add) Goal achieved. With all of this previous work on all of the smaller tricks, you'll be able to hit Paradon's like a champ. You'll be at the point where Paradon will feel like a little illusion. You'll exert little to no energy to hit this trick now. Now you can even start working on Scorpion's Tail or Blurriest, or Blurrier.
Trust me on this... You'll see massive improvements if you start mastering your 1 adds.
