But a move is a move. I don't like that the move gets 4 adds, because I don't think it deserves it, but I accept it. Shred 30 is about unique, high add tricks, and Jorden utilized Dada for what it is, an easy trick with a lot of adds. _________________

Sorry Jeremy, but you could say the same thing for many a move Jorden hit (and basically any other footbagger around) in their shred 30's. How are you about to criticize a player for hitting a move in as efficient a manner as possible? I would wager that most players at that level don't really see a huge difference in difficulty between moves like schmoe, blur, smear, tap, dimwalk, drifter, etc. They're all roughly similar in add value and difficult. Who cares if Jorden grabbed a few extra adds with pdx dada>blurry dada? More power to him. If anything I think it's noble that he'd throw that out there. It's fucking awesome that he placed so close to Honza, since it points out how completely arbitrary the add system is. Who are we to say how hard any of those moves are for either of those players? I'm just happy they both competed and threw down. Thanks Jorden and Honza, you guys are both rad. _________________

Wooooohoooo i love you Mathieu
im stoked to see the circle contest video
Matt K and Sam: I think Jeremy was saying that if the DaDa moves had been cleaner in this instance, it would have been more acceptable, but he believes they werent. I dont think he was arguing the moves themselves should have less adds. _________________

Seconded. On that note, did I miss the final results from the Circle Contest, or were they never posted?
Jorden, Honza, Ales and Felix... Yikes. _________________

1. Felix, 2. Ales, 3. Jorden, 4. Honza. Hehe, that's going to be a good video.
Felix and Jorden said afterwards that the Circle is now their favorite event. Makes me happy. Hopefully others will share this sentiment. I look forward to hearing more feedback as people return from Worlds. Discussion about the Circle contest can continue in the original forum announcement. _________________

Yeah, discussion about Shred30s, this years Shred30s, and Dada curves should all go in this thread. _________________

Can anyone confirm rest of the results (or are they already available somewhere)?
For example, rest of the freestyle final, shred final, womens freestyle, net results etc.
Thanks for all of you who have already delivered a good amount of updates, especially TwistedTorque. _________________

Glad you guys enjoyed the updates.
Just remember me when you are at worlds and I´m not, k?
I would of posted routines just as quick, but I´m having a little trouble getting the audio to export with it (as you can´t hear, there is no audio on the Shred 30s).
I´ll see what I can do... _________________

Hey all,
My wife Robin just finished blogging our time in Frankfurt, during Worlds 2006! There are two posts that are relevant, the first one being about Frankfurt itself, which is nice because it gives some context to where the event was. The second post is about Worlds, and includes a camera-video (50MB) of Vacek's complete finals routine . Here are the links

I now have Vaeks worlds finals from '02-'06 on my desktop. This years was by far the most difficult and well preformed. Props!
Anyone got results for positions 4-10? _________________

Btw, we just added about a 1 minute section of the circle shred under the
Footbag Worlds 2006 section, just around the circle pictures. IMHO the circle competiton was the coolest thing going at worlds this year and there was an intensity to the competition that felt quite real (like the last scene in 8-mile). It's too bad that the camera microphone isn't really good enough to hear the pounding beat to which everyone was shredding. Much props to all involved!

Sick 3 results (what I remember...) was:
1- Felix Zenger: Blurry Symp Whirl - Superfly - Double Blender.
2- Jan Weber:......
3- Philip Morryson: I think it was Blurry symp.Whirl - Whirlwind - spining blender.
Sorry if I'm wrong... but I think that thatwas the combos. (No Vasek...) _________________

You are the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't WAIT to see all that awsome footage!
Am I the only one who is a little disapointed with Vasek's participation? Not just this worlds either, for like the last year.
I mean he could have been in final cirlce competition which sounds like it's the new standard for freestyle competitoin, but he didn't compete? I love Jorden, Honza, Felix and especially Ales, but it's just not the same with out Vaska laying out the regulation. _________________

I'm happy that Vasek is less involved, it makes the competition much closer and more interesting.
Stoked on the Cake eating footage and the shredita who placed 2nd! Who's she?? Polish, I presume... _________________

wow, you're a fucking cry baby.
edit: the IFC should do something about it? are you serious??? well maybe they should have done something about the stepping sets that honza was doing, because without those maybe vasek could have taken second? i also find it interesting that alot of people are giving flak about dada curves but find it totally reasonable to reperform other peoples shred 30's because "it's still very difficult, and after all this is a technical event". don't you think doing a 1 drop shred 30 of that calibur is pretty hard? _________________
