Rental house for worlds?

Post by crazylegs32 » 27 Mar 2007 17:53

On craiglist Orlando there are hundreds of luxury homes for rent on a daily basis right next to Disney. The price seems to be around a hundred to 150 per day for a 3 bedroom furnished luxury home with kitchen and couches, bigscreens, a pool, stereo, and game systems. Theres homes available up to 7 bedrooms.
I was thinking of renting one as a smokers house since disney wont condone that behavior. The home will be within 10 miles of the event site (the sports hotel is a drive away from the event as well), parking is free at the sports complex so that isnt a problem.
Heres an example with beds for 10 people and a movie room! http://orlando.craigslist.org/vac/301397184.html
Heres the disney resort- http://media.expedia.com/hotels/1000000 ... 12_5_b.jpg

At this point theres lots of time. One thing to consider is there needs to be a driver for every 3- 5 people so we can get around.
Theres houses up to 7 bedrooms and there may even be a block of homes next to each other available.
And if staying in the home I rent you must be respectful of the property, clean up after yourself as you make messes, etc...

I'm Interested but the problem is the cars; we need people who will be driving there and be willing to cart us around. If we have some net players we might have conflicts of intrest such as where to go and who will take them who. Good idea nice to have a cool party house where lots of fun could be had, but we need to think it all the way through.

Well I would love that! And those of you who replied about the house, who are from the notheast USA, should also reply about the bus I want to put together that can take people from as far north as quebec city all the way down to georgia, plus parts of Pa. Once there the bus could be manned or womanned to make various trips from said house to various site through out the week. Any way I am down for the house. see ya ted f

Also down.
I am not sure but I am considering driving down from NY, and I am a sucker for people asking for rides.

Heres another one, this has 7 bedrooms, sleeps 16. - http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida-va ... l-830.aspx

In a couple weeks to a month I will book a home, my email is full of offers from homeowners already. So far it looks like me, Jeff, Chris O, Benny (back already? :D ), Wasabi?, Sergey (decide soon :) ), Max?, Slapdash?, Will?, Reid?, Eric S?, and possibly a few net players.

When I book the home it will require a down payment, and I may ask everyone to pitch in a non refundable 10-20 bux. Its worth it to book this huge luxury home, all we have to do is show up and move in. 8)

I think we should get more than one house, all in the same community 2 miles from the event.
The houses are kickass around there, and as cheap or cheaper than the hotel.

You've got plenty of time to learn how to drive and get a car Waylon, now stop being lazy. (whhhh-pish)

Yes mad houses all over the place; I suggest a hostel take over of Disney World, we'll make Micky clean the dishes and goofy clean the toilet with his stupid tongue.
