Washington Square has thousands of pedestrians per day, and this is a great opportunity to promote the sport. The directors, and with help from their directing team, are putting together an advertisement campaign for the ages, to ensure the popularity of the event, while serving the dual function of attracting sponsors. But there is no event without the kickers, so make it out!

sorry barret i don't no how too take it down! This poat is strickly a response to the original post by xain who stated that the schedule would be 8:00am to 7:00pm, not impossible if you have lights and the permit allows us to be in the park after dark, most city parks shut down after dark this time of year
see ya ted f

This is going to be an awesome event, everyone should come. This is event is going to be held in one of the coolest cities in the world, if you have never been to NYC and always wanted to, now is your chance you will get to see a beautiful place and kick your brains out too. We are going to try and make it as inexpensive as possible for all the players that come, New York is not a cheap place but we are trying to really hook everything up so that you won't need to spend a lot of money at all. Start making your plans people the date will be here sooner than you expect.

I'll be there.

Thanks for making this possible.

The point about lights is important. I would also think about rain.

Hey everyone,

I just got our first sponsor. Footbag.com will be sending footbags, also on Saturday there will be a freestyle battle by the New York Redbull soccer team and a great local band called Third Rail will be playing. Those are the updates for now. I'll let you guys know as I get more info.

To clarify it will be a whole weekend event. We only have the location permit and amplified sound permit for Saturday. Friday will be a dinner and indoor shred, saturday is the event then a dinner and party. Sunday will be a casual shred in washington square park.

If it does happen to Rain on Saturday we will have a large tent but if its really bad we have a rain date scheduled for Sunday.

Dont worry about the cold weather we are going to have electric heaters in case the cold becomes a problem. Please let me know of any concerns and Ill do my best to address them.

Thanks,
Barrett

I was just wondering about crash space and such. Where will everyone be staying, or supposed to stay (where in NYC, if there is free crash space or a host hotel).

As people confirm that they are coming, I'll find space for them, it is first come first serve. So if you want to RSVP email me at ban227@nyu.edu. There will be crash space for everyone. Some just might have a further commute than others.
