Re: Kankeri Japan
I had another session last week, on the 19th, Friday. It was a good one; despite kicking two days in a row, I still had some energy. 19 February 2021  butterfly swirl bs  stepping ss clipper > osis x 4  vortex bsos  pdx torque bs  mobius bs I also remember having s...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Nice to see video in the blog. Also enjoyed spotting this guy in the middle of the video, and feeling smart that I recognized it: Great spotting Ken! I was hoping you would notice that. I have wanted to play in that spot for a long time, but old habits die hard and I always would go to my other, mo...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Had a bit of a quiet week since the last session for a couple of reasons. I found a company looking for a Clojure(Script) developer. All of the apps that I have made, as well as a couple of websites, have been with these languages. I felt that I couldn't pass it up, so I took some time applying for ...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Right, so I've had a couple sessions since the last session post. I have been kicking in the gymnasium. There are often bookings in there which will mean I need to find another spot, however recently there have been no bookings. Another thing is that I need to be aware that basketballs may come roll...
Re: Fanzine
Wow, maybe it is just me using way-too-light bags? Have I gone soft in my old age?
Re: Fanzine
Holy shit; that is a heavy-ass bag! I don't know anyone who plays with anything that heavy. The bags I make are about 60g.

Re: Kankeri Japan
EDIT: TOP POST PAINTING! Maryrose Crook: Herxing 2020 I saw this in Porirua at the art gallery and it really stood out. The painting is done on two canvasses, which are then put together vertically. There is so much going on in the painting, it would be a good one for a home because you would often ...

Yes! Great one! These ones are so good. I think Erik mentioned this too; it is great to see the runs that aren't like 35 contacts and dense. In fact, this may be one of the shortest! I felt that drop too; it looked like the I-am-too-tired-to-motivate-but-committed-to-doing-a-one-shot one shot.

Nice Gray! That was a great run. I liked the ending, especially because you didn't get hurt.

Re: Kankeri Japan
:footbag: I made a note to lock my ankle so that my left foot is pointed out. This was helping with toe sets. :footbag: I made another note for a routines combo: step ss osis > gyro osis > rpt Forgot to tell myself to lock my ankle. Remember to lock your ankle, TJ. Also didn't practice that second ...

Re: Starting over
Nice combos in there! I liked the pixie muted op clipper > spinning legover > rpt. How about trying pixie muted op clipper > gyro mirage > rpt? I bet you can do that.
I also really liked the sound of the bag in that vid. Thanks for posting!

Also the reality that we have been very lucky Covid wise and someone mentioned it looks like we are living a normal life, which we more or less are. Same here. Aotearoa has been really lucky to have kept it off our shores. Of course, there have been a few slips here and there, but still no communit...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Too bad about the great room, but like you said, a bit of opportunity to get some video in new places. Indeed. Actually, I saw someone who frequented the longroom yesterday while I was getting ready to kick. I asked him what he was doing now that the longroom was out of service. He said he has stil...

Re: Kankeri Japan
 gyro muted grifter (right foot set only). This either the first or the second time I have hit this. I was close on flip, but couldn't land it. Sounds really hard, cool trick! Yeah the hardest part is probably the set, followed closely by trying not to kick my knee or balls during the dex. T...

Re: Starting over
Nice highlights. DDDs are hard, so well done. Also, come to think of it, I was practicing guays the other day at the beginning of my sesh, likely from watching your vids. Ducking/Diving and spinning feeling a bit better these days, which is nice. Those components are fun, and it is cool to see you d...
