Made it to the Finals!

I made it to the Finals of my NBA Fantasy League! Considering my best player (Harden) went down for the season about a month ago, I'm pretty happy I made it. Here's the list of players I lost this season due to injury, that I had to drop and get 0 compensation for:  Harden  Hayward :ar...

April happened?

Hard to believe April is almost over already.  Had to check my journal to see if I even got in any shreds this month.  It looks like I played twice, both within the first week of the month. In my defense, there were a lot of variables beyond my control that limited my playing opportunities.  It was ...

Early May is soon!

Hopefully we get an update soon. I'd love to see some hype start building up. I know having some date ranges would motivate me to start training.

Reached 200 subs!

I've also slowly (glacially) started building up a community of subscribers. I'm up to 11 now, which is a piddly amount but still is motivating. I don't have a set goal for my channel yet, but it'd be neat to hit 100 subs in my first year. That was less than 2 months ago. Tonight I hit 101 subs, 77...

HBD to CF!

We'll probably get one more snowstorm this month, but already I sense spring is here.   That hit last night and this morning. Hopefully it's the last one of spring, and we move into footbaggable weather soon.   Continue to use my old G-Units and bags which are falling apart. Unfortunately, that hap...

OK TPP

In typical Denver spring fashion, it feels like we traded snow shovels for sunblock overnight.  March was as snowy as any month I can remember since moving here a decade ago.  Unsurprisingly, that limited my shreds...I think I only played twice all month.  We'll probably get one more snowstorm this ...

Footbag vs. TF2 subs

I haven't looked but I am going to guess that's already more than your footbag subscribers, which is concerning in itself... It's funny, I never checked my sub count on my footbag account in the 13 years or so I've had that account. But once I started my TF2 account, I became super conscious of my ...

Snowy Spring

Spring snowstorms have hit hard this year in Denver.  We got over 2.5 feet in the last storm, and then got a dusting of snow the next couple days after.  I can't remember shoveling more snow in my life.  Worlds feels super far away, but I know we're probably only a month or so away from spring weath...

We are going to go with a Subaru Outback. My Dad has one and he has good things to say about it.

2 months in!

Today is the 2 month anniversary of my first video. Feeling good about where I'm at. I have 55 subs, which is halfway to my goal for the year. I've made over 20 videos, which is a good pace. I've gone godlike with 4 of the 9 classes, and come close with 2 others. And most importantly, I feel I'm get...

Re: Fanzine

Winter weather limited me to two shreds in all of February.  I did sneak in a driveway shred before our last big snowstorm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kef2TEyIlTY While its a shame I only played twice in Feb, it was not for lack of trying.  I'm not overly worried about it.  Once we start gettin...

TPP makes us smarter

Nice to see video in the blog. Also enjoyed spotting this guy in the middle of the video, and feeling smart that I recognized it: Mana Island; Don Binney; 1971; VUW.2005.1 https://images.ehive.com/accounts/3332/objects/images/1pdamft_cshr_l.jpg See, the Top Post Paintings are making us more cultured...

It's a weird goal, because I know these things are exponential and not linear. So I could see myself increasing subs at an ...

That's a heavy beer!

I've favored bags that are notably heavier ... I wonder if there's an upper physical bound of bag weight... I bet there is and I bet I've been flirting with it for a while.  Hold my beer. The key term isn’t heaviness, but density of fill. https://media3.giphy.com/media/5669bWEI7TS3S/giphy.gif I can...

Ivan Driveway

Thanks Gray!  I'm about 4 months out from when I got injured and the ankle still feels a bit stiff.  While that's not ideal, I remind myself of the following: 1. I still have several months before Worlds competition begins.  As long as I don't reinjure myself, that's extra time for the ankle to heal...

4 Shreds in January

Happy to report I got in a proper shred yesterday.  The weather was doing its typical wild fluctuations, but I got lucky with my timing and managed an outdoor shred during the 1 hour of good weather we got.  I tried out a new spot on my driveway.  Most of my driveway is on a steep incline, but there...

New Shoes, Arctic Winds

Tried to play today, but the weather turned on me bad. In the 10 minutes it took me to get to my shred site we went from t-shirt weather to icy winds, and I couldn't warm up even with long sleeves and gloves. I couldn't even get through a warm up it was so cold. Very frustrating. On one hand I want ...
