I read it! Great to see you again, Cass. Hopefully our paths cross again soon.
P.S. HUGE fan of the down dog app, but had kind of forgotten about it recently. Thanks for reminding me.

Re: Butler
Man, we've got to play again soon. Ben is injured at the moment and I'm heading to Utah for work for about a month, so there's that. Maybe later in summer if it doesn't interfere with your world's filming?
Re: Muffinman
From context, my guess is that 20 x 20 means you've hit 20 strings of at least 20 contacts each in one session. Am I close?
Re: Toolman
Hey, all, it's been a minute. Grad school has been kicking my ass, but in a good way if that makes sense. I'm busy and stressed all the time but in a way that is kind of invigorating as long as I'm getting enough sleep. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately depending on how you think about it, I haven...

Re: Starting over
I hear you on the break. Thanks to school, work, and weather it's been about two weeks for me. It'd be cool to see some of the bags you've made and I would be interested in a trade if you're up for it. Let me know!

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Shit man, really sorry to hear it. Keeping it together these days has been hard enough, I can't imagine having to cope with that on top of it all. I hope you're able to find closure soon. Hard transition... I'm interested in knowing how much water you drink on non-footbag days. I've recently upped m...
Re: Butler
Ahhh...Bowler style. Might have to try this out.
Re: Muffinman
So much great news! First, congrats on the wedding and the new place. Leveling up in new aspects of life can feel really great. Your new place sounds amazing! And it's great to hear you're finding reasons to be optimistic regarding your pain issues. I don't really know anything about TMS, and like y...
Re: Toolman
Cass, that Down Dog app is seriously awesome. I've been using it once or twice a day for the past week or so and I'm loving it. It feels like all the best parts of attending a class without having to leave the house. And one of the best parts (for me) is that it's free for students through July (for...

Re: A Master with a Riceball
Nice! Definitely going to check out that podcast. I recently stumbled upon People's Party with Talib Kweli, so I've been enjoying a few of those. I'm not very deep into the scene, but it's great hearing about some of my favorite artists and learning a bit more about those that I've heard of but have...

Re: These Days
Didn't actually make a lot of bags overall, especially compared to previous years, but 4 stitch 32's are dreadful. Not sure how anyone stays up on 32's, way too much cutting. I've never heard of 4 stitch 32's. I thought there were only 2 and 3 stitch varieties. Three stitches is certainly hard enou...
Re: Fanzine
I made an oversized 32 panel for Dustin and since it was a new pattern for me I kept the prototype for myself. Dustin only wanted his filled to 70 g but I cranked mine up to 95. It's made of ultrasuede soft, so it's still breaking in, but I know it's going to be a good one.
Re: Toolman
Yeah, he's the one that first got me thinking about purchasing one. The style he uses tends to run higher than my price range, so I went for something a little cheaper/simpler to get started. I picked up this one specifically: https://www.target.com/p/ignite-by-spri-core-board-abdominal-trainers-blu...
Re: Toolman
I've already talked to Ken about the Top Post Painting, but just so the rest of you know, I found the interactive article fascinating. I used to have a poster of Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa hanging in my bedroom, so to learn more about him and the context of his work was really cool. Footb...

Wow! That response from Ted is wild. It looks like it's been deleted, though he still doesn't seem very supportive.
I haven't watched it all the way through yet, but I tend to trust Matt to be thoughtful about the content he puts out, so seeing that sort of reaction was very surprising.

Re: NYJ 2021 (online)
Such an amazing turnout. Other than worlds, I've never seen anything like it for an online comp. And Ryan did a great job with the videos. The shred off compilation made me want to watch some of the old VHS videos because their often in the style of the skateboard videos I used to watch as a kid. It...

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Been trying to get back with Footbag making, but burnt myself out last year. I've been feeling that lately. I stitched a lot over the last year (wish I had kept track of how many). Still, I was surprised by how much I ended up enjoying it. It's the perfect activity for when I want to turn my brain ...
Re: Toolman
Glad to hear your thesis plan is coming together. Do you mostly do fieldwork? Working in Utah sounds great! I used to do more fieldwork, mostly oceanography and a little stuff around California, but my postdoc work is all lab-based now. Yeah, I'm entirely field-based at the moment with a substantia...
Re: Toolman
Yeah man. When I came back I was glad to see you were still posting regularly. I can't even remember the last time we were in the same place. Check your PMs when you get a chance. So it's a new year. I made some progress on personal goals in 2020, but not as much as I'd have liked. However, overall ...
