Re: One piece of Footbag advice from every person.

Learn basic kicks very well, and learn to use them to keep the bag in the air for extended periods of time (like, 15 or 30 minute long rallies).

Re: HOUSING FOR EAST COASTS REAL IMPORTANT

Important Correction ---- The rental house for East Coasts is NOT 959 Bedford Ave, It is 939 Bedford Avenue. Also, just in case of very bad weather, we have an indoor playing spot lined-up for either or both days: PacPlex http://www.pacplex.com 1500 Paerdegat Ave N, Brooklyn, NY 11236 (718) 209-1010...

Beaver Open -- I need a ride!

Super Profundo on the early eve of your day! I'm going to the Beaver Open footbag event near Eugene Oregon over the Labor Day weekend soon. (I recommend all others to go to this unique event too, even though it is a little light on the shred...) I'm looking for some help to get from Portland to The ...

Re: Footbag pentathlon

5-Minute Timed Consecutive! Footbag Pentathalon depends a lot on how broad-minded you're going... Are you concerned primarily with a FREESTYLE Pentathlon, or FOOTBAG Pentathlon? Clearly a freestyle pentathlon needs no net or golf events, etc. Routine, Shred30, Circle, Sick 3, Request... those would ...

Re: NineFA Yam! July 4th?

After some high-level consultations at the United Nations headquarters, and some top-secret meetings with the mayor in a bunker under city hall, the New York Footbag Association is pleased to announce that we will host our 9th annual summer jam (NyneFa Yams, or something...) on the weekend of August...

Re: Chronicles of a Footbagger

Hey, welcome back! I was just asking somebody about you --- "remember that dude Andre who came to East Coasts last year? He used to be on Modified a lot -- have you heard from him lately?" Well, speak of the devil... Anyway, nice vid. I enjoyed, and I find it encouraging that you're working on basic...

Re: What to do in 10 minutes

Speaking only for myself... Ten minutes is way to little time to practice the way I like to practice. But, just for the sake of this topic, I would practice my cross-body soles and dragons. Jumping around a lot will get you sweaty. Clipper > Cross-Body Sole > Clipper > repeat: this all happens stand...

Well, whatever... Happy Modified Day!

Re: Bobby G's footblog

Great Vid! Good strings --- I especially like the squeeze-to-clipper at the end of the first string --- kind of like a drifter... cool stuff. Lovin' the music selection too... "Bad, bad, Leroy Brown, Baddest Man in the Whole Darn Town..." + Charlie Daniels Band's classic "Devil Went Down to Georgia"...

Re: Opinions on Crowdfunding Footbaggers to Tournaments

Interesting topic. Thanks Ken for bringing this up. I haven't really taken too much time to consider all of this yet. I surely will be giving it some more thought. One part of the issue that leapt quickly into my mind, though, was informed by another example that is worth considering --- Todexon. Th...

Judging by the shadows in the photo, I'd say that they did it at about 4 or 5 pm.

Re: 2014 ECFC SEPTEMBER 26,27 28TH

East Coast Championships #32 = good. Thanks to everybody. All those super-cool Penn State peeps who donated prize bags and brownies and DJ'ed and filmed for us = good. NYFA kickers who judged comps and worked the mic and stuff = good. Veterans and hot-shots who came from pretty damn far away and mad...

Re: 2014 ECFC SEPTEMBER 26,27 28TH

I had a quick look around the neighborhood of Ted's rental house --- I give my approval. A safe and clean neighborhood, socially very interesting, with plenty to eat within an easy walk. Not too far from the event site. Close to shopping and gasoline, etc. Everything we'll need. Parking will be diff...

Re: Feminine Freestyle ---

I have no doubt that you and Peter would get along famously! As for all this soccer/football business, that is indeed a terrific suggestion, Dan. I would suggest that step one is to see if you can determine WHERE the games will be played, especially the games nearest you, and plan on going and playi...

Re: FOOTBAG GOLF.

I've played footbag golf on only a very few occasions. One rule that I was surprised to learn in the official rules of footbag golf: one must demonstrate CONTROL of your feet after a put. This is to say, when you are putting into a golf hole, a players is basically required to put their putting foot...
