Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMBi8AUnlpb/ I saw Ken post in another thread the Footbag Worlds information and I was wondering if the Instagram plugin is working now (it is). That's exciting. Speaking of Instagram - here's the last month - Feb 2021 on Instagram - https://sportslashlife.com/footbag-on...

There's also the Vietnam lavers which are I believe somewhere in between.

Some of these would link nicely together - vortex>butterfly swirl could be a cool combo.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
I did two footbag things today. I've been teaching at a school this week, they've now given me a 3 day a week contract for terms 2 and 3, so I guess that's a success. Anyway, I did a bit of a footbag session with the class. They are year 4, so most about 10 years old. Some of them were able to get s...

Re: Kankeri Japan
Those toe set spinning tricks are a lot harder than their clipper counterparts (for me anyway). Nice working doing the toe spinning osis on both sides.

Re: TMNT Have Nothing On This Shredder
Sounds like you were really overdoing it in the past (not only on footbag) - I guess getting a big boost on footbag -say going from hitting, let's say some around the worlds and some decent strings, to going hardcore on the atomics etc, then you really get into it and make it your main focus. Glad t...

Re: Starting over
I think your crank is OK - it's difficult to do repeated osis tricks. I would work on stuff like inside stall>wrap>osis - should help build strength in the position. There are a couple of apps that a few players have made in regards to tricks - TJ has done one, also Alex Trenner in Austria. Anssi al...
Re: Toolman
I think I know one of the guys who made that app. Met him in Chile.

Re: 2021 Footbag Events
I think it's the only way to go, and I really look forward to it. It will interesting to see if there is a difference in participation - people are in different stages of lockdown etc. I'm hoping and have suggested for me to run, some more basic events (kicking and whatnot)
Re: Toolman
oh yeah, a bit like the Bosu balls they have at the gym. https://www.healthline.com/health/fitne ... ique-twist
I have been working on some balance stuff at the gym, so things like standing on one leg on top of these things is a good one.

Re: Toolman
Have you seen some of the stuff Jakub Worek does on the balance board? He is very good at it. He posts clips on Instagram sometimes along with the footbag stuff.

I think what it is from some of the older players is a very literal interpretation of the Hacky Sack TM, whereas Matt is talking more about the impressions that a first onlooker is going to get.

It will be interesting to see if travel between Aus and NZ opens up by the end of the year - I would say probably yes, and maybe to certain parts of the Pacific Islands too, but not much further afield. I've been swimming quite a bit lately. Here's a run from by the pool. I've joined in with this fu...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle
Alright. I broke my round of daily Instagram posts. It's always a busy schedule these days. Today it was Nico's birthday and yesterday was our anniversary. We had some time down the coast as a family, then one night Dad looked after the kids and we had a night at a beachside cabin. Of course you tal...
Re: Toolman
Great having you on here. Sounds like the new place will be an improvement for your lifestyle too. Good job on kicking the various habits. Ken had a long streak off the booze. Sounds good that you'll have trails and a swimming hole nearby. Do you have a bike?

You had very good strategies for last year I thought. It will be interesting to see if we get a few more online competitions and people can have more specific training towards giving an online show etc. That bag is looking good, especially coming pretty well straight out of the box.

Yeah, put Olaf at the top of that list for sure.
Turn out for NYJ was much better, great worldwide participation. I was in the middle of the areas. Ryan did an awesome job with the videos, they are up on Youtube now, I'll embed them a bit later.
