Re: Ask Me Anything

Who is a player that you always wanted to play with but never had the chance?

I think a kind of "head judge" for major events is something that we need. That person would be part of the organising team and sort out the judges.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

I am running the Joulukalenteri again this year. Not so much what I was hoping for when I posted on Facebook "hey is anyone running the calendar this year". I knew a few people had mentioned videos they had planned already. But that's OK. Better than not having one at all. https://www.youtube.com/wa...

I will be running the Joulukalenteri once again this year. Please let me know if you would like to submit a video - there are plenty of spaces remaining. This post will be updated with all of the videos.

Re: Ask Me Anything

This concept of sandbagging is an interesting one - because I feel it's about how you feel your level is - that always sees discrepancies between the higher intermediate players and the lower open. But in the end, an intermediate trophy is kind of meaningless - maybe quite meaningful for the person....

Re: Ask Me Anything

Matt Kemmer has just started doing some set by set videos. What's the hardest pixie set trick you've hit?

Also come back to a bit more basic stuff - what was the first sort of "mid level" trick that you ever hit - when you kind of clicked and thought - I might be getting pretty good at this...

Re: Passback Footbag Set List - Pixie

Best for me would be some of the pixie ducking/diving tricks. Pixie ducking motion, pixie diving motion, alpine smog, pixie ducking rev swirl.

Passback Footbag Set List - Pixie

Matt Kemmer has started doing a set by set list through the uptime sets. Starting with pixie.

What's your best pixie move you have hit? Do you know the background behind some of the nicknames? Smudge, smear, smog, smoke, dimwalk, parkwalk etc.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

I was hoping to post each day this month, or post quite regularly. I've just posted a couple of things around and about, including on this forum. I put up the final four videos for the ShredOff, which will be broadcast next week. You can find that in this thread - http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopi...

Swiss Footbag Open

Cool video from Swiss Footbag Open by Pawel Rozek.

It's a nice length and looks like a great time at the tournament. Mix of net and freestyle.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

https://www.instagram.com/p/CkgzPJEhcGC/ It looks pretty bright in this video but I got off to an early start. I guess by this time it was 7 or so, but I had a terrible headache last night after a long day at the school. Today was a better day and we finished it with our buddy class. - they are in ...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Day 2. Another post so that's a good round. Each of us have a free evening to go out and do exercise. Mine is Wednesday and that's today. There's a few things I like to do on a Wednesday but some of them clash. The last few weeks I've been out skating. This week we went in to the city, I haven't don...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

November the first. Maybe I'll try and write in here more often. Yesterday, I was on a good run of consecutives, into 1000 plus. I was kicking in the room at the gym where they do group classes, it was empty when I started but then one of the staff came up and said they had a class in. That was unfo...

yeah, I've always been hesitant to make many modifications to shoes, particularly to the interior structure. Makes me feel like the shoe will then not be as supportive.

I've never used the Climacools, will have to try them out some time. I used some other type of Puma for a while, they were quite good and light. Can't remember the model. Glad to see you back into things.

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

The school holidays have been and gone. Not particularly much on the footbag front for me. Some decent sessions. I didn't pass through to the next round of the shred off. It was my idea to do like a repechage round for a second chance for those who didn't go through. But now I am in that situation I...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

We went to the Gold Coast last weekend for a wedding. No kids. It was a nice change of pace. Got to have a kick with Caroline, so that was good too. We even made some submission for Doubles in the shred off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbC-nTJwaxw There were no other entries, so I guess... we wi...
