Re: Systemic Bigotry: Manifestations and Preventative Measur
I have apologized to Matt privately, but definitely need to put that apology out here publicly as well, as I said some pretty rash things. As with everything, there's intent and impact - what we mean to say and how it's interpreted. I was acting on purely emotion when I felt that Matt was putting wo...

Re: Systemic Bigotry: Manifestations and Preventative Measur
The reason that this conversation has devolved to something between Polini and I is that we are the only ones talking about it. That said, I'm sure Nick and I would both agree that this issue is greater than we are, and that we should keep our personal stuff between us from here on out. Thank you, ...

Re: Systemic Bigotry: Manifestations and Preventative Measur
Just an observation, but I think it's interesting that an issue of systemic bigotry seems to have devolved to personal reconciliation between Nick and Matt. I know the original video was posted, caused controversy, and was deleted a little while ago, but I remember how I was feeling during those day...

Re: Funny Freestyle Footbag Trick Online Competition Debate
Seeing as how the entire Facebook thread was deleted, maybe this conversation could continue here. I agree that it started on FB and or sold be kept there, but the entire thing was deleted and I personally feel nothing was resolved, I think people are attempting to sweep this under the rig and prete...

Re: Is the United States a surveillance state?
I agree with Jeremy that there is a mass of surveillance recorded, but only a fraction of a percent is looked at. In that sense, we're not a "surveillance state" like 1984 or anything, but I definitely feel there are factors that overreach going back basically to the PATRIOT Act. When Edward Snowden...

Re: Define Feminism
I would have to think longer before coming up with my own definition of feminism, and I also already perused the thread, so whatever I would have to say would have already been affected. I just like that this conversation is happening in this space. Love you, Nick, but your first response is a perfe...

Re: hacky sack millionaires
I think people who state their opinion as fact and call some group of people "what's wrong with the world" are what's wrong with the world. (Before you jump on that, it's meant to be ironic) Reading back over this thread, a lot of this broke down to "is this racist" or not, a topic that I clearly br...

Re: Nick Pasquarello (from PA to OH)
So I did have a session the other night with Nick Polini. It's always good to know that I can always count on that when I come home :D Admittedly, I was hoping he was going to tell my highlights because he has in the past, but he told me to update my own footblog, so here were my highlights....

Curious with what you meant by this. What was mentioned before in the context of racism was nothing racist against white people.t_blaze190 wrote:As for the "subtle racism towards white people"... yes, i can see it.
I personally don't think "reverse racism" exists in any true form in our society.

Re: Kellogg's and footbag- a moral dilemma!
Wow, from the title I didn't think this would be worth reading, but there's a lot there! My gut reaction would be to scrap it as it does sound like a selfish marketing scheme for themselves. It would be great to still get in contact with the kids if that would be possible (and turn them onto real fo...

1) The Last Narco: Inside the Hunt for El Chapo, the World's Most Wanted Drug Lord by Malcom Beith 288 pg This was very interesting an information-dense. It sort of gets repetitive in that you get to understand the patterns that cartels run a lot in Mexico, most police/law enforcement are paid off, ...
