Re: Footbag Joulukalenteri 2024

Thanks for making the thread, Mathieu! I’ve been struggling to keep up and find all of the videos, but was hoping that I could count on someone posting here! 🙏🏽

Loved reading this brief history, Dante! Your Finnish upbringing has always really shown in your smooth style, variety, and difficulty! And massive congrats again on your baptism! You're the best!

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Ooh the bothsided shuffle looks so good! Love to see 20x20 catching on -- so happy to see you doing it :D If I'm getting close to the end of a session and I'm not close, I'll aim for, like, a 100 of easy tricks, or a few 40s or something. The worst is when you get a bunch of 39s in a row though lol....

I just got an Akihiko Yoshida art book in the mail today, so here's to him! Good to hear from you both! And thanks :) Sometimes...

Re: Muffinman

I just had my first outdoor session of the season! I don't think it'll be a regular thing yet for a while, but it felt good and it was so warm! Before today I'd played twice since end of November, 2023, and both sessions were struggling just to do anything more than BOPs. So today wasn't much better...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Great scenery, great shred! Also like the blue shorts green hat combo. When did you start playing footbag? You've been around a long time. RE: genuine, my recollection is that the original definition was all unique contacts, but I do have a bad memory, so I'm not 100% on that. But I think the common...

Re: A Master with a Riceball

it was the only job I have ever had where I had to sign an NDA about everything. Dammit! I now work as an Art Director for Denmark's biggest property management company. Sounds dry, but I like it. And the marketing and communications team I am part of is great. My boss is a friend who headhunted me...

Re: Muffinman

Thanks guys. Getting there! I saw my new physiotherapist. She made some minor changes to my regiment, the most relevant of which was increasing one of my 2 weekly sessions from 30 to 40 minutes, and increasing intensity of that one session from ~20% to 30%. To do this I tried to add in a few more do...

Congrats on fairy tail and fairy motion sickness! Also East Coasts sounds so fun! When was that? I was in NYC not long after that write-up of yours! Great that you seem to be playing so much again lately! Loving the footage on YouTube. Oh, also, Daniel, you owe another top post painting here as well...

Re: Canberra, Australia via SCL - Daniel Boyle

Oof, I never noticed how buttery smooth your blurry whirls are. So nice! Also enjoying the format of these bite-sized clips. I have such a short attention span... Whoa 1000 students! Can you explain more about that? Sounds nuts. No wonder you weren't well the next day! Those 3 clips, by the sea, in ...

Re: Kankeri Japan

Sounds like things are pretty good. Great that you're playing so consistently. I hope I have the body to be able to do 2 days in a row again one day. 2 sessions per week is really pushing it for me right now, and they're super short. Oh no! I hope you can get the mid-life thing under control. I'm pr...

Re: A Master with a Riceball

Darn, I don't remember what the comic shop was called, but when you walked in there was stairs down to manga and collectibles to the left and then stairs up to mainstream Western comics on the right, and the entrance was on the corner of the building maybe? Hold up, working for a billionaire?? I nee...

Yes! Perfect! More challenges please :) I think it only took 3 tries, but trying to stick at a semi-low level, it's hard to think of interesting tricks, links, and concepts, so any ideas will make my sessions more fun. Thanks Daniel! Also, don't worry, it was my physiotherapist who told me to increa...

COVID Almost exactly 2 months since my last post. Oops! My wife and I finally caught Covid for the first time in early September -- she thinks she brought it home from work. We were so overly careful for 3 years, but I guess it was bound to eventually happen. It was literally the week before our Ne...

Whoa, that's so scary about the PayPal hack! Mine is connected directly to my main bank account... My credit card too I think. And pretty insane that they just didn't do anything about it until you kept calling!! I would expect the kind of professionalism as from a bank when your credit card is stol...

Re: A Master with a Riceball

Oooh. Yeah, I was kiiinda thinking of checking out Midtown Comics, because I heard it's the biggest? But I'll keep Desert Island AND Strand Bookstore in mind too. But honestly we probably won't have time for comics unless it happens to be where we're sight-seeing. Such a short trip! I did visit a su...
