The Shoe (a rant)

<rant> Like a lot of you I started in regular sneakers. I particularly remember a pair of olive Airwalks that I loved. They weren't actually very good for footbag, but they were very very comfortable. I was already tiltless and could hit some 4 add moves when I got my first pair of Laver's. I hated ...

The main advantage of footbag.org's video gallery is that it's semi-permanent (insofar as anything on-line can be considered "permanent"). Most video I see here is transient in nature. I'll watch it, hopefully enjoy it and in a week I can safely forget I ever saw it. Post it to youtube. What I would...

Zocha Jam 2008 routines

Better late than never I guess. Most of the shred and some routines got accidentally taped over, but here are the first and second placed routines in 480p. If anyone actually seems to want it enough I can put up a copy in 1080p. Enjoy: Vasek Klauda finals routine 640x480 22MB Marcin Bujko finals rou...

Re: Mostly redundant Zocha Jam 2009 video

Just a quick note, it seems that Quicktime can't read these files for some reason. I recommend either mplayer or VLC which have no problems playing either version (and are better players anyway, imho). Cheers,

Mostly redundant Zocha Jam 2009 video

Hi Everyone, First of all if you have seen Cod's video (http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=20957) then you've already seen most of these runs. Second of all I just used this as a project to learn how to use my video editing software, so there are random fades and mismatched music, etc. Most ...

Re: Munich, at least once every decade

servus! jo, freilisch! kimst rüba und bringst a krachlederne mit! And that is why I usually write in English on this forum :) It's not fixed in stone yet, but it's pretty sure I'll be there that weekend. Still need to figure out a few details (like where we're going to stay), but I really want to ...

Munich, at least once every decade

Hihi, meine Freundin will unbedingt Oktoberfest mit eigene Augen erleben.

Hi Ken,

I just wanted to say that I've enjoyed reading your world's write-up, although the part that I was most looking forward to, you slept through :P I hope to play with you again some day when I've actually slept in recent history and am far, far less drunk. Cheers,

I love your dry sarcasm Andrew, it tickles me :) If by "tickles" you mean "nauseates" then yes, I agree. :-) The smiley face doesn't stop your words from hurting Steve. And in all seriousness although we're all very proud of what we were able to do, there is only a statistically insignficant chance...

Does this mean that you are playing freestyle for at least one more year? I'm somewhat disturbed to find out that someone actually reads this blog and paid attention. Yes Ken, since I wasn't able to compete this year*, I'll be playing footbag for at least one more year and I've already picked out m...

Maybe we can convince Berlin to do it again? Sure thing. I think we'll be ready to host another world's by 2029 at the latest. I look forward to competing in "masters" freestyle with Vasek and to someone finally collecting my money challenges by then. Of course the commute from my private mansion o...

This is probably too late and I'm afraid I can only point you in the right direction. Back in the mid 90's in Footbag World Magazine they published an article about a medical study done by a california university. I'm afraid I've lost the magazine, but I know they tested body fat ratio and heart rat...

I think it would be even better if the actual ranking was displayed after every routine in the form of a table with the ranking of all players who already performed So do I and that's the way I designed it. There was an option to switch over to a screen showing a table of players with their scores ...

World's 2009 Part I (very long)

Lest anyone get the wrong impression let me begin by saying that there were several people at world's in Berlin who did far more work than I. Most of them should be known to anyone who attended, but in particular I'd like to to mention Daniel, our overworked sound tech and Chrissi who took on far mo...

Quicky

I'll be writing more on my blog later, much later. I haven't slept much since Friday and probably won't till Sunday. Most of my worlds so far has been taken up answering questions and sitting in front of various computers. So far I haven't been made a liar with my very optimistic prediction that eve...
