JOULUKALENTERI 2016 Administrator

Post by MetZelRio » 24 Dec 2015 01:21

The Joulukalenteri is over for 2015 and there were some seriously massive moments and surprises. Off the top of my head, swirling Vortex by Monistere, Mobius Rpt By Bonslaver, Pipenberg & Morrison, Olav Piwowar destroying everything from 4 years prior, Moscisziwski's Drills, Crazy stuff like gyro jughandle, and whatever the Heck blurry rev swirling symp mirage is called By Polini, The blasts from the past showing us our roots.

Joulukalenteri videos are what bright me back to the sport. Specifically, Prewedding by Jay Boychuk. I had no idea who two of those guys were in the video, but they drew me in to continue to pursue footbag. Since that time I've been involved in several community projects, such as:

Both Sides Link (intermediate)
Tiltless BSOS Challenge
MetZelRio News
The Ott Boggly Show
GRAND THEFT GRAVITY
Best Feet Forward online competition
Other projects that are still in the works

Given my high respect for the Joulukalenteri, and my desire to support and encourage the community with video projects, I'd like to offer my services as the administrator of the 2016 Joulukalenteri. I would be honored if the community would approve of assigning me with this responsibility. I understand that the task ahead would not be an easy one, but worth the time and effort to give back to this community in a major way. Plus it would be so rewarding to me to bring back some players that had wandered away, like myself, and even bring new players in.

Thank you for your consideration everyone.

Would be great. And appreciated. Always nice to see Ott Bogly :)

One suggestion for LOTDs is to get 24 different players of increasing skill to do them. One day per player, or even two players per day if you can find 48 players to do this. Start with some basic stalls, end with Evan's impossible Whirling tricks.
I hate bad form and I'm a hypocrite.

Vote 1 Paul. Consider yourself hired. I like that idea of the different players doing the challenges. I was actually considering getting a few players to do the last few challenges so that they could be of higher difficulty, but the thing is time consuming enough as it is - but I think it's a really great idea.
