The Red Guard Are Terrorists

Post by Bringerofpie » 27 Sep 2007 12:21

So, the Red Guard (the primary military unit in Iran) has been officially categorized as a terrorist organization (Thanks, Senator Lieberman). This almost surely means war.

Does anyone know what religions have conscientious objector status besides Quakers? There are no Quaker churches near me.

Amish
Jehovah's Witnesses

Apparently atheists too

I'm pretty sure you can be a conscientious objector despite religion. The trick is registering as one before the draft. I vaugely remember a site where you could do so and you could probably find it on Google.

My Mum is a Quaker. When I mentioned this to some kids at school, they thought I meant she played Quake all day.
