No, YOU listen, asshat. Don't call me a dipshit, and don't tell me to get something I already have. And try learning to read. This shit has been resolved for over a week now, and your post was completely and utterly pointless. I've already seen what can be done in lavers. I've also seen the same thing able to be done in bare feet, which means that lavers are NOT required. However, I've also experienced their advantages over vans as far as footbag is concerned personally.

By the way... How can something be new AND improved? If it's improved, it's already existed before and has been made better. If it's new, it never existed before.

What an awesome community... I stopped the "insults" a long time ago, now along comes some random asshole to call me a dipshit for no reason after this shit's already been resolved. Flaunting WHAT uninformed opinion? For the 8 billionth time, I never once said skater shoes were better. I didn't come here to make friends in the first place, so I don't give a damn. Now go back to school and learn how the hell to read, you douche. Jesus fucking christ, does the idiocy ever cease?

So... what you're saying is that the fact that he's "one of the best players in the world" completely excuses the fact that he called me a dipshit for having an opinion I didn't have in the first place, along with the fact that he's being hostile about a situation he wasn't involved in that's already been resolved...? Clearly, we don't agree on this. I've never heard of or met him, so he's random to me. His only communication to me was being an asshole, so he's a random asshole to me. His post accomplished and contributed nothing. Had he actually read thru the topic, he would have seen that I not only did not "flaunt uninformed opinions," and that I even asked about what I didn't understand, wanted to try things for myself before making one, and now, after having tried things for myself, agree with the popular opinion that Lavers are great shoes for footbag and skater shoes are not. Instead of reading, he decided to call me a dipshit. Hence, I called him an asshat. Calling me a dipshit wasn't very helpful, and neither was his opinion because this is already resolved.

My advice:

Get off of modified, go train steady and hard until you're confident in your ability to play footbag, then come back with a smile on your face. Show up at a tournament, be eager to meet some people and compete. At this point that's probably the only way you'll find a place in this community.

If you respect the sport, and you respect the community, you will meet some of the greatest personalities in the world. So far you haven't shown respect for either of those things.

Take my advice, or keep flaming, it's of no consequence to me.

I've shown respect to the members of the community that have shown respect to me. When it was requested that the insults stopped, they stopped. That's now showing any respect? You haven't been looking hard enough then. Those who do not show it will not get it in return. If I didn't respect the sport, I wouldn't play it. I wouldn't have come here in the first place. I wouldn't make bags, and I would never have asked about the shoes. Oh, and have you seen the pictures above? I already have a smile on my face.

Awesome pic dude! Shoes look nice.

Word of advice about Jorden, he is so good at freestyle that if he told me shredding with bags of flaming poop on me feet would make me better, then I'd have some shit smelling feet. Lol

I'd consider his dip shit comment a blessing on your future adventures in footbag.

:)

I don't think I'd want my feet smelling like shit...

Well, you might consider it that, but I wouldn't, especially considering I had no idea who he was before.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the pics. I can now do an outside stall on my left foot with some bit of consistency.

This has definitely become your footblog, Magus. You might as well create your own now, and title it, "Now I know Why Lavers!" And keep us updated on your new tricks, such as the fore-mentioned outside stall. It'll be sick if you start one now, since you're just beginning. LAter in the year, you can check out your progress. It's a pretty cool idea, and I give mad props to the inventor of footblogs.

Actually, I think mods can move forums. They should move this over to the "Footblog" section for Magus. Id rather not leave this in the "Getting Started" section in order to prevent attrition of new players to the sport.
