Hey man, I agree. Whatever makes a bag tick is great. Its just my experience that I dont like putting plastic in my bags (ie i think they play much better w/o) and all of my favorite bags from multiple stitchers seem to be absent of plastic. Imo, having already done so, Id suggest trying that steel filler in place of plastic. Its worth a shot.

For a second I was like, WHOAH, 688 grams! Then I noticed the decimal. 68.8.

Bitchin' bag. Good to see you're back in the game. Why such a long break from it?

Stitch over 400 bags and you won't have that question any more ;)

it's cuz stitching is a pain in the ass and there's better ways to spend your time. For me, those ways are working on line, songwriting, sharing time with friends, and practicing guitar without sore wrists. Also, I sincerely believe that the product that I (and so many others) offer, combined with the effort I (we) put in to it is worth more than the market value, so it's just not worth it.

Still, it was nice to finish one after months and months of it being 90% done and give it those first few kicks again. It's super soft and stally, too ;) Don, I hope you love it.

I say, stitch until the feeling of delight you get with finishing a bag is overshadowed by a feeling of frustration, soreness, and impending continued frustration and soreness. Once you're there, I'm sure you will have no trouble thinking of 5 ways you'd rather spend your time than with a needle and a pile of facile.

thats what i believe too, thats why i barely stitch .. i made a bag for the "mega trade" caus i though it was a good idea but i still have to make 6 bags that i dont want to do, so they will take a while

I see where you're coming from. After stitching so many, I could understand that it gets very repetitive and tedious. I mainly stitch after I footbag or if my legs hurt from footbag. Stitching kinda feels like a zen practice for me, sorta like reading a book. It's very relaxing and feels productive. I've been stitching bags and giving them to my friends recently. I don't really want money for them (plus Zach Hoffa gave me a shitload of fabric to start me out when I first met him, thanks again dude). I just look at them as a way of spreading the love and knowledge of footbag to the ones who've not learned it yet.

Nick,

Those are all reasons that I have loved stitching, so if I had to give you a piece of advice, I would say, don't get yourself in to a situation where you're depending on stitching for a major source of your total income, and where you're taking more orders than you can fill within a coming week. If you don't do that, you may be able to remain unjaded and keep the halcyon days of stitching a lot longer than I did.

actually its microsuede, and is in my opinion playable right off the needle, works good for a quick break in bag. quality of play isnt the best but i like it, theyre fun bags. and look sicckkkkk

Thanks for the tips, Matt. I'll keep that in mind. I don't plan on ever getting into that situation. I've learned that when you're FORCED to do something you love, it really puts a damper on that specific hobby.

Also, I like the look of that fabric, other Matt. Looks really stally with the subtle cracks in the purple/blue material.

It's probably in the sex couch where the other one was before :P

I've been shredding with the Sunny, pink/yellow one, for about a week now and it's treated me SO WELL. Zach's bags are by far some of the top bags I've shredded with if not THE top bags I've shredded with. Not just saying that cuz we're friends, but if you're a high end professional sticher, trade him a bag and you'll see what I mean. Or contact him if you want to buy a really sick, perfectly uniform, great-to-shred-with bag that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Maybe just a leg. Zach likes amputating legs. Weirdo. Anyway, talk to him if you want a really nice stally bag that's hardcore affordable. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I believe some people have had some success with certain colors of ultrasuede soft as part of hybrid bags, I'd be curious which colors people have found to be satisfactory, maybe its own topic? field's lists ultrasuede soft as .8 mm thick and ultrasuede light as .6 mm but we all know that each individual ultrasuede light color varies considerably in actual thickness
