Recently, I've decided it's time to really get consistent with easy tricks that I've neglected throughout my entire footbag 'career'. Double Downs today.
- DDD > Barfly > DDD > Barfly first time ever
- My personal consecutive Barfly record went from 4 to 10 in a single attempt

EDIT - also hit my first bsos Scorpion's Tail

Siiick. Congrats! Consecutive barflies feel soooo good. A single attempt to hit 6 more than you ever have before is insane!

Haha, thanks guys. :)

Funny story... the other day I brought my gear with me to work so I could go shred right afterwards. Turns out I forgot my shorts. I didn't feel like driving home to get them, so I just said screw it and played in my boxers. Felt weird at first, but I played exceptionally well. Like really good. My stepping ducking sets had never been more confident.

I've now played 8 out of the last 11 days. My legs are hurting but I plan to keep going.

No doubt! Must be one of the super secrets to getting good lol.

Just got done with a 2 hour session that could arguably have been the best session I've ever had in my life. Lots of big tricks BSOS, another Nemesis with deep dexes, a couple dense 30+ contact strings, and a kind-of-a-big trick that I've only ever hit once before way back in (probably) 2006 or something.

Don't really want to say too much just in case I actually decide to take part in worlds, that way I'll actually have some surprises saved up.

Excited with what you come up with at the Worlds, I think another podium finish might being coming for you, especially if you can pull out some of these wild moves again.

Had a short session today, but ended up hitting what may have been my longest guiltless run ever. Right around 45 contacts. It about killed me lol. 30+ contacts is still pretty rare for me, so this felt awesome.

Also hit High Plains Drifter both sides for the first time ever.

Man, we've got to play again soon. Ben is injured at the moment and I'm heading to Utah for work for about a month, so there's that. Maybe later in summer if it doesn't interfere with your world's filming?

What happened to Ben? Did he get his feelings hurt?

And I'll be around. Just shoot me a text when you're available for a session.

After about 4 years of drilling it pretty frequently, I think I finally figured out how to do a proper Furious set on my flipside (which is now probably my strong side). For years, I tried all kinds of different stuff like turning towards the side, or setting the bag semi-laterally, or trying different dexing motions like whirling-stepping or stepping-quantum-ish. Very late in a long session recently after my legs were super tired, I decided to mess around with it a little. I found that if I do just a very miniscule 'hop' backwards with my dexing leg and then just do an uptime barrage motion, the bag would come up at a fairly high height and I was pretty consistent with it.

Fast forward to my session today. Everything was on point. I hit Nemesis on 2 consecutive attempts and then a 3rd time within 10 attempts. I ended up hitting it 5 times in a single session.

I also hit Triple Mirage on first attempt both sides. My sights are set on that Triple Torque (haven't come "close" yet, but it's on my radar for sure).

Today wasn't my biggest session as far as huge tricks and super lengthy runs go, but I was very consistent with everything including dense runs and drills. It was probably one of the best "feel good" sessions of my life. Expect to see some new Furious set trick from me soon. :)

Triple torque! (Not hit yet, has that been hit at all? I'm guessing yes, but sounds crazy). I saw a couple of clips of you doing some furious stuff recently, looking strong.

Cool to hear your perspective on furious sets. I've definitely had the same thoughts about whether I should be thinking about it as a single motion or if breaking it down into whirling stepping or stepping quantum would be more helpful. Whenever I try to do work on it again I'll keep your little backwards hop in mind!
