time to vent a little.

this week has been absolute shit. pretty close to the worst week ive ever had. what I usually do to clear my thoughts and think about things is play footbag, and since I screwed up my knee I really cant actually do that.

Ive been having money problems, pretty much every dime that I own went to paying my rent today. I wasnt supposed to pay rent today for the fact that Im only going to live here for the next 3 days and then I was going back to idaho for the summer to make some cash for next semester of school. so what I was going to do was sell my lease to a friend of mine. he backed out on me right when my rent was due. so of course i had to pay it. I was going to get some of my deposit back from signing my lease over and I was going to use that to go shred with zeb jim and jay in boise. so yeah i kind of got screwed over. on top of all of this, this last week of school ive had 4 finals and 6 labs. I did alright on my finals, got nothing below an 89% which makes me pretty happy, but my labs were pretty shitty for the fact that they were phlebotomy labs. I was pretty much stabbed with a needle more that 12 times this week.

its all over now though I guess and I should be looking at the positive side of things. its really hard to do though. Im sure more people have it worse than me but no one ever really thinks of other people when theyre down and thats a common fact.

time to go play disc golf. atleast my arms still work.
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

decided "fuck it" today and decided to try to play footbag. I played lightly and didnt string really for the fact i am a little scared that ill fuck up my knee. so I pretty much just did small combo's and single tricks had a few good ones in there.

 toe blur > atomic whirl
 tripwalk > far tap
 pixie drifter - ( im horrid at drifters so this came as a surprise)
 toe drifter bs yeahhhhhh
 fairy dyno
 practiced alot of fllip whirl because it doesnt both my knee
and my fav combo of the day

 matador > pdx barrage.... ftw.......i never nuke set, but for some reason its easier than i thought so matador came easy so i threw in a pdx whirl, which was cool and all but i wanted to go a little harder so i threw in pdx barrage instead which satisfied me greatly!

other than that i just went through singly one at a time and did every trick i could think of to a hand catch. including like 6-7 5's

edit:  HOW DID I FORGET pdx flurry!!!! serious its my FB status update. I dont know how clean it was but it took alot of tries, i figured pdx barrage was simple enough for me why not just add an extra dex? and 135235 tries later BAM. it was probably THE though =/

playing with a knee brace is very different. I feel like my dexes are alot slower, because they are >.<, and i also feel like my crank on that leg has suffered a little. I know in time ill get use to it. but for now it just sucks =/

haha for sure Erik, I injured it running the day after my sesh though, not doing simp whirls, they have never bothered me.

I like stepped wrong and hyper extended it or something the doc said it was already under stress and so was my other patellar tendon ( from the day of shred before) they were already sore and inflammed, and not allowing for proper healing did me in, as well as playing for way to long the night before even though my knee had not fully healed

haven't had a real session in almost 12 days really, my knee is getting better, and so that i dont reinjure myself again im going to wait another 5-7 days before i have a session. messing around today though for a few minutes I managed to hit fairy spinning clipper and pixie spinning clipper. watched a video of Ken S. doing fairy dlo, which inspired me to give a go at fairy simp DLO so that I wouldnt land on the leg my knee is injured on, and I can see it as doable if i really warmed up and had a session.

I leave for my summer job in a couple days, which excites me because Utah sucks, Im ready to get back to Idaho for a while. I should be able to pocket 2-3k$ before worlds arrives so that I can have the best worlds experience I could possibly have. not to mention I really miss fly fishing. I dont know if anyone who reads my blog has ever fly fished, but to me its the most relaxing fishing there is. some of the best moments in my life involve sitting on the bank of the snake river all by my self, with no one around for miles right around dusk, catching fish after fish. and for you nature freaks, don't worry, I'm all about the catch and release. I don't keep fish.

Kyle Hewitt will also be in our hometown for the summer which is awesome because it helps alot to have someone there to motivate you to get better. playing alone sucks for the most part for me. oh well thats all I really have for now.

this is me and my buddy shayde fly fishing

Things to remember to drill in 5-7 days when I get to play again:

 spinning...as much as you hate to drill it, do it.
 flip quantum...its pretty strong already but needs to be stronger
 stepping...also decent but needs to be very stronger
-stepping ss pickup...its weird but do it.
-stepping ss mirage...seem to drop on this alot last i played,
should be worked on
-stepping ss illusion and far... same as mirages.
 work on your sick 1 and sick 3
 although not your sick 1, work on terraging butter and legover bs
 flurry's... do them
 pixie dlo and fairy dlo and pdx dlo need some work,
never landed fairy dlo but know you can do it
 anything ducking, clipper or toe

 make a new mod tutorial on white laver shoe coloring, thats right, your shoes dont have to be white, and this wont wear off ;) and is cheap

adding to the above list, ignore me

hit:

 far double pickup > quantum pickup both sides
 far double pickup > DSO > toe whirl both sides
 fear > toe blur > leg beater both sides
 you havent done barroque in a long time, do eet
 matador, and sumo, get them stronger, on both sides.
 phoenix bsos
 alpine fairy beater bsos
 and if thats feeling good, hit all 4 bsos
 phoenix > far double pickup
 bothsides?
 same goes for alpine fairy beater

this list should keep me preoccupied  maybe a video will come out of this as well

played disc golf today with my room mate, his first time ever playing, he managed a +6 which I thought was decent for his first time ever on an 18 hole course. I finished off with +3 again. but the main part about it is I found a disc golf bag full of discs. there was a number on the bag so i decided to call it. someone answered and he told me that he was from oregon and that he had left to head back there about 4 hours ago and to just keep the bag full of discs I insisted that I would mail it to him, and he told me no, that if I was kind enough to actually call and offer to mail them to him, then I deserved the bag + discs. what a good day at the park :) disc golf karma +1

im posting this from my phonebecause im in the middle of nowhere utah. heres the story:

i had just packed up and was getting ready to head to swan valley for work for the summer. i noticed my car was running like crap so idecided to call my mom and tell her i probably wasnt going to make it there today and that i should get my car checked before i leave. she insisted that it was my younger bro's high school graduation and i needed to be here and that even though my car was running like crap that i should try to push it and make it anyway. well its about a 6 hour drive and aat about 3 hours in my car died. complete stopped running. i sat on the side of an intersection for almost an hour until someone came along and helped me get my car to a parking lot and off the road. from there i was already unhappy and decided to eat something and think about my next action. i eventually walked into a walmart which was in the middle of nowhere also to find i phone number for a tow truck so i could get it to a mechanic. from there i was told that my car wouldnt be finished until morning. i called my roomates in provo and asked if they knew anyone in the area i could stay with. luckily my roomates brother live abut 45 minutes away. i then walked about 2 miles to the nearest bus stop and waited 45 minutes to arrive. my roomates bro set me up with a bed and offered me dinner which was awesome. this morning i woke up to my phone ringing. it was the mechanic. and he told me the car was even worse than what they thought. costing me over 1500 dollars to fix. im now getting ready to hop a bus back to a place close to the freeway so that my parents can pick me up. they are driving 3 hours to come get me. my car wont be finished for about a week or so meaning ill have to come back to this shit hole eventually to pay an obsurd amiunt of money to get my car back. ugh. anyway i better start walking. peace out modified.
