Awesome Allan.

Do you have any tips for learning double spinning/ inspinning?

Reposted from my other footblog.

I started filming this session on the iPhone, but ran out of disk space (I could only get my hands on 16GB model), so I switched over to the Macbook Pro's considerably-lower-quality-but-better-than-nothing camera. The MBP does have the benefit of being having a much wider view, but you just can't argue with 720p.

Here's the first bit of the session (recorded in 720p) where I hit:

22 guiltless; stepping ducking paradox symposium whirl (7 ADDs); I had inspinning symposium twirl off my foot; double spinning osis > stepping far blender > 20 or so contacts.

After the camera switch, I hit a lot of no-plant spinning, including a no-plant double spinning clipper, which was totally fun. Inspinning whirl; fusion - blurrier - paradox torque - etc. at the end, and a couple of classic-me out-of-control catches. The weird looking move after the first blurry dragon fly combo is actual a mixer (double legover). I also used YouTube's AudioSwap feature on this video because the De La were listening to started to annoy me.

Awesome stuff Allan! The shuffle in the first video was awesome. I loved the dbl spin clipper with no plant. It's awesome that you are posting videos, keep them coming!

Is that Matt Emmings your playing with?

sick stuff allan.
i've also used my mac book (not pro) camera for filming and found it to be pretty good. The only thing i really noticed was that it is really sensitive to light. Outside in sunlight it's great, but as soon as cloud cover moves in, the image becomes grainy and you get a lot of movement blurring.

Awesome stuff, Allan. The string starting at 1:25 in "Pentaco 9 A(HD)" is my favorite -- first link is so tight. Thanks for posting these!

More posts please. One post per month is a bad average. The world needs more spinning footage!

Both of my arms are broken! I tried playing a few days ago, but it sucked. Spinning hurts. Any up-time concepts hurt. My left elbow swelled up a bit after (no cast = no support on the joint), and it's hurt like a MF ever since. My physiotherapist says it all looks fine; I didn't do any real damage by playing, but all the same, I think I'm going to give it another couple of weeks before I try again.

I'd love to be playing every day like we were last year at this time. Last year was a good year. Dylan was in town and we played for, like, 32 days in a row or something. Then Worlds ... memorable to say the least.

Whereas this summer has really kind of sucked. Our weather here has been consistently 5-10c below average, Dylan is off on his adventures, and I'm fuckin' broken. No footbag for this kid.

Not to be overly negative: I have been very thankful for Matt Emmings and Jeremy Kumbruch. Matt has been a consistent once-a-month or so shred partner for 10 years +. Jeremy stopped playing for a while, but has really gotten back into it over the past year or so. I owe my whole life in footbag to Jeremy (he gave me my first pair of lavers for one thing), so it's awesome every session he comes out. I've stolen so much from his style ...

I am trusting that as soon as I am able, I will be making up for lost time by playing and publishing frequently :)

Dude, I heard about the broken arm thing. Skateboarding, if I remember correctly? How exactly did you do it? I used to skate too, but I slowly started to fall out of it while getting more serious with footbag. Bummer that happened...

I've really looked up to you in my recent years in footbag, especially for my spinning stuff. So thanks for being the player that you are.

Props on the recent vids too.

Here's to successful arm healing.
