whats up footbag world?!?! have been wanting to create one of these for a while. I have been playing footbag since 2004 and hacking for about three years before that. I am def obsessed with this sport and want to get better. I am apart of the New York Footbag Association crew and love playing with those guys. East Coast baby! nyfa for lyfa!

i am not well versed in footbag terminology so please don't judge me if i do not know names or the add system for tricks. i just like to play. However, i do like to learn new names and concepts. If you want to correct me or tell me the right name of something, go ahead. Just don't call me a dingus :D

I had an awesome sesh this last weekend with nyfa at McArren Park in Brooklyn. I hit my first two legit 6's including:

Food-processor, and

loco-motion! (according to drew martin, shooting-osis (which i can hit) is a cheap 6).

also hit for the first time:
Symposium Blink
Pork
Pixie-same drifter

other highlights include a 40 contact string starting with Matador
mobius 1st try
bluriest 2nd try
and P-Torque to end a string

The weather yesterday was boss! we played until it got dark out. I can't wait for it to be nice out all the time so i can play most of the week.
I need to drill my left side hardcore
this summer/year i want to be able to shuffle
i am stoked for upcoming jams/events including psu, richmond VA, us open, and bean town throwdown!
i eventually want to get a vid camera to highlight some tricks that i can do and whatnot

peace out footbagers,
-BOATZ

If you love NYFA, why are you apart from them? :P

Sorry, I could resist, especially since you said:

:P

Seriously, nice to see an active blog of a NYFA member on the site again. I miss the crew.

Props on the new 6s! You should post some videos in here too.

made a vid and song today for the last day of my 25th year

mostly drilled infinity, clipper ossis repeat, flip pixie, flip whirl, osis repeat, simple stuff. it was cold so i made the most of it. When i practice alone i usually take it easy and just have fun with basics. i keep my harder stuff for when i play with my club. If i have my computer with me when i practice, im going to take footage of moves/combos that i want to remember or find cool.

at the end of the footbag you can see what i made the music with and some stuff in my room.
