no playing since that combo except one 15 min sess in january. Our baby arrived january 6th and we have been super busy since then since baby + selling house and moving to montreal all hapenned.

Now we are in our new place, just finished packing, and I need to find a place to play (no shred room here)

I'll come back in a couple weeks at worst I guess :)

started playing again now!

Boy am I rusty after almost 4 months with no shred.

Got to loose like 15 pounds and regain my skills. Taking it slow now but trying to have sess's regularly. Hard without a gym and cold weather, but no point in getting a gym membership when in 2-3 weeks it will be warm enough!

Been using free try's at different gyms and playing in subway stations eh

everything is so hard after a long break

took me a while to get like 5 or 6 consec flip spin clippers. strong is easy at least

also like 20 mins of barfly's to get 3 consec

then 5 mins of work on pixie to get pixie ducking legover b2b, all those things used to be dialed oh well!

on a plus side I hit alpine blurry whirl on 2nd try, but the whirl I beleive

I'm trying to hold 3 sess's a week for now, but it's tough with work, baby, and cold weather.. need to go to a gym or subway station to play

Awesome stuff. Glad to have you back. I totally feel you on losing concepts and tricks though. I'm definitely on the decline in my footbag career at this point :( Props on the alpine blurry whirl!

Erik you must beleive it's not the downside of your career, you still play so good, just need to play regularly! That's what I'm aiming for now, still not working so well but I see the light!

trying to feed myself motivation but playing inside after 4 months away is hard

good thing warm weather is coming

yesterday I was aiming for 20x20 but got 15x20 by the time gym closed, I need to get rust off

Other then that, a lot of stuff is harder then before, struggling to hit drifter-p drifter rpt, I feel so bad

I got locomotion-mullet, now if I can spin out of mullet I may get first beast

I find that after a break, when I can't do tricks that I was able to do it is usually a combination of just remembering the trick and also a weak foundation. What do you think? I know your drifters are good, but do you think there is something at a more basic level that if fixed would help? I find that playing a lot helps to compensate for a weak area, like for example my barfly dexes may not be the best but trying them often each session boosts my set, which compensates for the lack of dexing ability...does that make sense?

it makes 100% sense because I feel my flip clipper is shit. Probably worst then it's ever been in almsot 10 years, but time and efforts will fix it!

what about spender or motion sickness into the locomotion. I find it pretty hard to do anything out of any of those kind of symp whirl ending tricks like mullet.

flip motion is hard enough, no flip blender, = fail those combos!

Glad you're getting back into a regular shred schedule! Are you going to be at Do London Ontario this August?

so today I had a 1 hour sess and a 20 min clipper workout
I filmed and will post some highlights, I'm still rusty and big tricks are still pretty much drop's all the time midrun
for clipper workout I did 50x ss clip - opp clip (50 as well) but on the last one I wanted to set for far rev swirl and droped -_-
I'm hitting janiwalker a couple times a sess these days, did not see on camera yet but I did get an attempt to jani-bedwetter today, but my jani's are pretty low sets I bet lol

tam tam jam! first of the season!
I did not write to Seb about it since he works on sunday's, but he was free and showed up so we met by chance.

Lot of fun as always, the music, the vibe, the sun

And, an old great player showed up and thinks of playing again this summer, time will tell!

On a side note, we bought our tickets for europe this summer, all august in switzerland! No worlds tough, friends are getting married at the same time and we cannot miss this happening. Until next year!
