I dunno if this has been posted already, but this video is pretty darn awesome even if you don't understand the language (like me). The camera angles and routines for practice are simple and straight forward.

I can generally get a clipper with my right foot, but only when I drop it with my hand. I have trouble setting it up right. Any tips?

Can you do alternating toe stalls smoothly & easily? Can you set to different heights from each foot easily? Those are good exercises to work on. If these exercises are difficult, trying to clipper is going to be very difficult and probably very frustrating.

General ideas:

 Set straight up, you don't have to set particularly high but maybe waist or belly button height is a good for practicing.

 After you set, you need to use footwork to position yourself. I'll assume you set off your right foot and then do a clipper with your right foot. Put your setting foot straight down after setting. Pivot on your setting foot maybe 30 degrees (you'll just have to feel this out for your own), bring your other leg directly in front of your setting foot about four or five inches and plant it.

 Lift your right foot into a clipper position and cushion the bag with your support leg by bending at the knee as the bag completes its descent.

If you can post video of your attempts then people can probably give you more detailed suggestions.

Thanks for the david clavens video. That helped a lot. I have been trying to get clipper for a good week now. Pretty frustrating.

I'm convinced Hopovers, Walkovers, Flappers, and putting the outside of my foot on the ground and gently putting pressure on it all gave me good crank.
