A lot of them got skewed because the pages aren't flat and whatnot.

I like your shading a bunch.
I noticed that all of these are kind of straight-on at eye level and 90 degrees perpendicular to the edge of the surface. Well except the scissors I guess. You might find it more challenging and beneficial and fun to mix up the angles on still-lifes like these. They'll def look more interesting. Most notably the first 3.

Something I am working on now-ish in my drawing studies is rather than drawing what I see, trying to reconstruct the object or otherwise subject in a sort of three-dimensional frame and then adding details on top. I haven't done many yet, but I can tell this is going to help me a lot, since my dream is to be able to just draw whatever from my head.

So, when I draw a figure from my head I kind of map it out with a stick person and then 3-dimensional shapes before adding musculature and details. I'm trying to adapt that construction method to my studies so that I understand and learn from what I'm drawing.

Maybe I'll take progressive pictures of a drawing I do to show what I mean.

I'm about to try water-soluble oils for the first time!

Oh man!
Oils are sexy!!
I was able to pre-mix all of my colours without them drying up in 15 minutes >____< Wow. I have a whole set of regular oils but was always too scared to use them because of all the chemicals you have to use and the intense disposal methods and whatnot.

I'm gonna put an outline on this but I guess I have to wait, like... a week or a couple. If it will even work at all in the way I plan!

Thanks for the comments Erik. :)

I should have clarified, but those drawings are all going into a book that I am making and the intention was for them to be simple and straightforward.

I do lots of other drawings from weird angles and perspectives, as well as drawing from my head.

The oil painting looks like it is coming along nicely.

I haven't done a lot of it, but I've done enough to know that I don't like it. ;)

edit:

Also, I'm interested in that process. Please take some pictures of it.

I'll take pictures of stuff I've done recently. Here's a stencil I did like 9 months ago cuz that's all I've taken a picture of. And also 4 of the 5 stencils. The image is only the test spray, not the final product.

Did you just use paper for the cut stencils?

I like the detail you got in the face, that's hard to do with a stencil.

I just used cheap poster board I got at the drugstore.

Here's some more stuff.

Finished product of that stencil. I used some acrylic too after the spraying.

Another print of a stencil I posted about a year ago. Different color scheme.

All of my drawings: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v11/M ... %20Fanart/
Some were done completely freehand with no visual reference whatsoever, so they're not as good(the ones not on plain white paper). It's mostly videogame and anime fanart.

Sketch for an architecture class. Turned out a little wonky but only used a straight edge for maybe 5% of the sketch.

Will post some more later.
