Update.

Whirl BS today finally!
Dada curve BS, but it was a pretty jenky--i have to work on raising the 2nd leg's knee more. In the video below i hit ss mirage-ing butterfly where the same practice is needed [at least that's what I feel is going on].

Anyways this video is formed from a bunch of clips I filmed with my dad's new camera...it's better quality than the actual video camera we have  . Some footbag and at the end there's a some longboarding clips...

oh and one of my shorts has this funky built in underwear that makes me look like i'm wearing granny panties  8) awww right.

woah!

you are going to be better than me in less than a half year.
im not happy about this. :x

I like how fluid and surf like (your) longboarding looks..
I gotta try that.

You should learn pixie and stepping now.
Aswell as trying out goofy creative moves.

Fun is everything.

i'd really like to work on stepping. does anyone have any tips on learning this set? i've read some tips in the trick tips forum so i'll see how that goes. blah blah blah... Asmus, i don't know where you're getting that prediction but thanks  ; maybe i'll encorporate some stallburger action into my strings...hehe. You should definitley try longboarding, it's so much fun!

wow your SO much better in this video than you were at worlds, a lot more consistent a lot more controlled, and a lot more variety, thats really awesome to see. I liked plo bsos that was un expected.

and you make long boarding look really fun :P

challenge: SS butterfly>osis>pdx mirage>rpt as many times as you can :D

p.s i just thought of something, because i was noticing that you were wearing a knee brace and you were doing whirls with that side. Try not to let the dex leg go above your knee when doing a whirl. If you watch vasek/dave/jim/jorden they never do that. I think thats what cause a lot of peoples knee problems :)

Taylor nice video! I just watched it. Your clipper stuff looks really good. I liked the dada curve in there. Or was that pixie symp butter? I thought the best footbag clips were at the end. Your form was looking solid there. Your toes are good too. On some of your toe moves your foot flops a little. Just work on keeping your ankles flexed while you dex. Steve Goldberg gave me that advice way back in the day and it helped me a ton.

I liked the long board stuff at the end. Do you surf too?
Keep up the great shred.

You can hurt yourself playing footbag (no, don't do that) but you know if you go out of commission because of longboarding we're going to kill you, right?

Thanks for watching everyone :P

Zeb, thanks for the tip on whirls. They haven't bothered my knees yet but i'll be mindful of that and work on keeping the dex below knee height. My knee has periodically been having weird aches in it and sometimes pixie sets can aggravate it, does anyone see if something in my form for pixie sets is wrong?

Ben I'm glad you and your girlfriend liked it :)

Jim thanks for the advice. I was just doing some legovers and felt the difference. I surf a little bit, but I'm not very good

stepping on your left side looks perfect. Props!

On your right side, make the step one motion, and the butterfly another motion. It's a move eseentialy done in two parts, they'll become one part after you get better at them.

More specific tips maybe.. uhh...

Open up your hips more, think of pointing your knee at something off to the left of you (on your right side)

Good luck, it's looking really good!

i don't think i'll be able to do a handstand on my dervish though...seeing as i can't do a handstand on the stable ground  but maybe i'll work on that...

also a few strings with both pixie and stepping sets. i feel a surge of motivation with stepping, i was getting pretty frustrated by my pixie sets and how erratic they are, so to have some success with stepping has really enjoyable.

You go girl!!

Okay, the ultimate challenge.

Take a jazz dance class, or a ballet class. The ballet one isnt as fun, but will make u so strong and will help heal ure knees. You need a good teacher though. And to show them footbag and such. The jazz class will be way more fun and make ure life more expressive and creative.

The movies step up and step up 2 are very inspiring.

Cool! PEace!

I gotta challenge for you.

cross-step, transition to switch, cross-step x2, transition to strongside, cross-step, right into a shuvit.

That's what I'm trying. Stupid switch cross-stepping is hard though...
