Bear is ready for some challenges.

Post by brianbear » 11 Nov 2008 10:19

Hey,
I know my game needs work on my flip side, and consistency improvement, and a wider trick selection. However, whenever I shred I find no motivation to drill anything. I just play with what I already know and occasionally try throwing in new stuff. Maybe if I am challenged, I will be more motivated to drill.
CHALLENGE ME! links, runs, drills.

* on my goals list
** want to hit it, but unlikely or hard
*** want to hit it, and hopefully will soon

Challenges for myself:
x 5 spinning tricks bsos
x spinning ducking osis b2b
x void double spinning clipper bsos
x vortex->void rpt.
fairy op legover x 10 ***
pixie ss legover AND fairy ss pickup bsos ***

Challenges from others:
x 25 infinities
x pendulous op legover > repeat. same with pickup.
x pendulous sumo
x gyro clip.>spinning clip.>rpt.
x 25 ducking clippers
x DLO>Drifter>rpt
x sidewalk>ripwalk>rpt.
x gyro whirl> diving whirl
x drifter>spinning clipper>rpt
x drifter>drifter>gyro clipper>rpt
x drifter>pdx mirage>toe set drifter>whirl>rpt
a beast ***
ripwalk> ducking butterfly> diving osis *
atomsmasher B2B ***
void->marius rpt. **
pixie leg over>smear>magellan>smudge>rpt **
gyro butterfly> whirl> whirling rake *
gyro rake> pendulous whirling rake *
stepping far flapper> swirling rake
Pixie pendulous infinity > dlo > rpt
pendulous pdx mirage > repeat. same with illusion
pendulous pdx torque > far legover > repeat.
pendulous pdx dlo / eggbeater > repeat
pendulous op rake> paradon> stepping ducking butterfly
pendulous ducking butterfly> ripwalk> stepping ducking osis

i hit drifter --> torque for the first time and it felt perfect and easy!
i'll hit drifter torque repeat before i hit drifter dlo cause i'm weird.

doesn't anyone have a crazy pendulous trick they want to see??
pendulous ps whirl? pendulous barflying rake? pendulous diving inspinning osis? pedulous ss symple dyno??
i'll try my best to hit whatever is asked for :)

pendulous sumo. It would be the best if you could get it on bs, as well!

pendulous op legover > repeat. same with pickup.

pendulous pdx mirage > repeat. same with illusion

pendulous pdx torque > far legover > repeat.

pendulous pdx dlo / eggbeater > repeat

can't wait to see what you come up with!

mmmm I like these!
I hit pendulous DLO both sides at stanford yesterday and pendulous paradox DLO one side. I think these drills will be great especially starting with single dex (legover and pickup) into a pendulum.

ah, then you're gonna love this...

pendulous pdx (rev) whirling rake > repeat

and for added challenge, hit it with your new mc bag!

edit: (or maybe if I'm trying to make my bags sound good, I should call that a reduced challenge? ;) good luck!)

hehe, good call with the edit!!!
I actually have only kicked your bag a couple of times :( but when i did, it felt really good. I like the heavier weight, and the size is pretty good too.
I just traded sooo many bags at NYJ I want to break in 2 at a time...
right now i'm shredding the ian p. and a fool(gary) bag.

your's and mosher's are the next two on the list!!
I'll be sure to write a thorough review on your bag :)

pendulous pdx (rev) whirling rake > repeat
i hope this means when i swing the rake up i keep it on my toe and go to pendulous on the flipside, cause that is how i am gonna do it!

gonna start a video log of challenges, and would like some more!
right now I would like to add more stepping, pixie, and atomics to my game,
starting off bsos rather than back to back or shuffle.
something like: gyro mirage--> smear bsos wold be good. that is a goal for myself.

i'll see what i can do ken, my flip double spin has been a bit messed up in exchange for my strong one getting better. i'll have to balance that back out. i stopped hunting for a beast a while ago, but i don't see why i can't hit wind->marius->spender or a marius sandwich with a spender as the meat.

also, must start filming again with this nice weather.
I plan on releasing a sick video soon as I have the 9x mobius waiting on video.

Is void-marius rpt too hard? Cause I really want to see that.
