EVERYONE

Post by Muffinman » 02 Nov 2004 23:45

Here you can post challenges for ANYONE. For example you think of a cool combo but don't have anyone specific in mind for hitting it: here's where you post those cool combos! Challenge everyone!

I was air shredding while eating cereal in my kitche at 1:40 in the morning and I hit motion > barfly [repeat] and thought, "Nobody hits enough motions". Then I realized that motion is to barfly as pdx blender is to pdx whirl and hit motion > barfly [repeat] > pdx blender > pdx whirl [repeat] -- I would love to see this hit!!

On a side note I'm reminded of Brad Nelson. I posted once that I had never seen motion sickness hit and Brad PM'd me a video of him opening a run with it: so sick. I've still yet to see the move hit aside from Brad's video!! I'm guessing Honza can BUST this move.

I was thinking about posting a universal challenge thread, too. Good move. :)

Challenges and Ideas:

Vortex>Mobius>Repeat
Runs oriented around less commonly used moves...

I would like to see a genuine run focused around reverse whirls! Be creative. Throw down some harder components with it. Nuclear reverse whirling swirl, anyone? Paradox tapping reverse whirl? Paratoxic! Jackhammer

What's Jackhammer?
Vasek hit vortex > mobius [repeat] on 100bars on Monsterhack.com
Lon has a rad reverse whirl run on the "Lon Smith Special" from Todexon 4 (I forget who made the video, sorry...) where he hits blurry reverse whirl > stepping reverse whirl [repeat] > far rev > rev whirl, drops picks up again and hits far rev > rev whirl > gyro rev whirl > barfly > a bunch of crazy crap. Drops again and starts again with, like, reverse maelstrom and spinning rev whirl > ps rev whirl [repeat]......... @________@

Yeah, that run was my inspiration. ;) Lon has such huge themed runs! I love the grifter run at the beginning, even though it's only a few contacts... I think grifter>royale>repeat>into various double down moves, I believe.

And I -think- jackhammer is miraging dyno, like an original gybas... Could be wrong, though. It might be paradox or frontside or something.

I have been trying to think of a new cool drill for about a month now. I cant hit what I am thinking of but I have just been trying to work out what would be good in my head. I want to see a really cool drill that uses quasi and I have been thinking voodoo > backside toe blur > tapdown [repeat]would be really cool. Still not sure what the best move would be out of the backside toe blur but tapdown is cool and I think the first two moves are a must. I would really like to see someone hit this and was thinking it should be called witchywoman or blubberman2 or something.

I think smog>pixie ss dlo [rpt] has been hit by Vasek in "chamions league".
but what about the alpine version of this combo? goliath>pixie diving dlo [rpt]? it kicks ass! =)

No... I can hit that Atom. You challenged me to hit Paradox Torque > Janiwalker. And I can't barrage out of a torque.. much harder.

I challenge Alpine Rubberman and Alpine Rubberman II. Also Kiwi Swirl, and I challenge someone to hit a new triple dex set.

Pdx Torque > Janiwalker would be a joke. I bet no-one has hit it.

--- Oh yeah - and Vasek doens't include in no-one. But I'm very unsure of he too.

Somebody who can, hit Your Mom > Frontside Fury

Hey all,

I tried a couple of these drills last session. Got far motion > barfly [repeat] and pdx blender > pdx whirl [repeat] in separate combos. Also, landed the first half of voodoo > dt bs toe blur > tapdown drill. It is soo hard!

Someone should hit Surging Butterfly Osis > Surging Butterfly Osis (does Butterfly Osis have a nickname?) because Butterfly Osis is the exact rewind of a Surging set and I think it would look cool.
