Pimp my ride

Post by crazylegs32 » 12 Dec 2010 20:13

What are all you styling footbaggers rolling in/on. I have a pos 2001 suzuki sv650 (crashed between 10-15 times) And an even worse pos 1996 toyota avalon that has been a target for uninsured drivers/hit and run.
This thread could be interesting...

i buy older Volkswagens an fix them up an give them my style with a touch of euro an re sell them. i only mess with mk1 (1983) mk2 (1985-1994) an mk3 (1994- 1998) for the first time in a while tho i have been content with just 2 cars an have no desire to sell either all tho I have been having a desire to get another junkbox to "pimp" an flip.

these are my 2 current cars.

ya thos are Porsche wheels :D club sports

this is a mulberry 1995 jetta. mulberry is a very rare color especially in jetta, an almost un heard of in a 8v. i bought the car for $300 from a vw lot that is some what a business partner of mine. the car hardly drove due to a wasted gear box. i took the whole car apart, re did every seal, gasket, an vacuum line. i had the head machined cleaned an decked 50 thousands. i seated larger valves an guilds in to it an bolted in a 288 cam with a light adjustable cam gear. The trans is a 1988 mk2 diesel with a 3.94 final drive ( very short gear ratio ) when i put it all back together i deleted my AC an used a mk2s Manuel steering rack an A arms to delete the PS in the mk3 with a legit non power rack. i also got my machinist to make me a under drive light weight crank pulley.
all put back into the car after some major rust repairs on the strut towers. i make 164HP to the wheels in a car that has 90 ( if your lucky ) to start with. a all engine 8V... this is unheard of. she will go down the quarter in just over 12 seconds making it the fastest 2.0 mk3 8V on the east cost.

this hear is my pride an joy. this is my 1998 GTI TDI... vw never made a mk3 gti with a tdi.... so i put one in it. this is a very hard an uncommon swap. gas tank, fuel lines, a unfathomable amount of wiring, an not being a diesel go roo... this is my pride project iv ever completed.

i have no side mirrors. i have no seat belts. i have no high beams. it is not a luxurious car. it sounds like a cummins truck going down the road i get told the 18 PSI sounds like a rocket ship when it goes by. the bumpers, the hatch, the grill, the whole interior is from Germany an France. the wheels on it in this picture are stock steel wheels that i stretched from 14X6 in to 15X8s. I GET 55 MPG! she blows more soot then a tractor trailer, this baby dumps! bat man smoke screen :)

i could rant an get into all kinds of further detail on my cars, but i will spare you all since this isnt cepavw.org or vwvortex. This is a huge passion of mine right up there with Footbag an Carp Fishing.

This is my 1996 Geo Metro

Zach, I was originally going to buy a Volkswagen Golf, GTI or Rabbit. I love the look of Volkswagens.

I get about 30 Miles per gallon in this car (it's a 4 cylinder automatic).

You are nuts zachatree, Did you actually modify a 14 inch wheel into a 15 or just change them out?

i air arc the center of the stock wheel out then weld it in to a wider an in this case a bigger hoop. i get my hoops from a local guy who makes wheels for sprint racing.

Awesome cars Zach. I love VWs.

My dad used to fix up dodge neons, had a blue R/T that was the fastest in the US at one time, so I totally get the work and dedication it takes.

Its nothing special, 2002 lancer, headers, cold air, catback exaust

its not the fastest thing in the world but it does enough for me

I put more sound into this car than mods, all new speakers front and back as well as 2 JL audio subs in my trunk

this *WAS* my turbo 1991 Acura Intergra, sold it because it was becoming a huge hassle to keep it running, was a fun project though, full body kit, black rims, superman logo on the front was my fav, i miss it

everything eventually started falling apart on it, rear bumper is missing on this pic as well as the paint was starting to peel, but man oh man was this a quick little car in its prime
Your next task: Go to the bathroom.
Wash your face.
Put your shoulders hunched upwards.
Look really, really slowly upwards towards the mirror like in the movies
And slap yourself in the face.
With your game face on.
And go shred with jim.
It'll work, trust me.

I knew I was ghetto when:
A) When I threw my mountain bike in my back seat my cars value doubled.
B) When I put my fishing equipment in my car my cars value also doubled.
C) My helicopters cost 3 times what my car is worth
