Oh baby. This will be a fun one to try and film.

Awesome.

Just because I'm sure someone will ask, I'll propose a clarification of your rules by a sample combo.

Pickup->dimwalk->ducking clipper->ripwalk->nemesis swirl. :?:

trick 1) Toe
trick 2) Flipside Toe
trick 3) Clipper
trick 4) Flipside Clipper
trick 5) and surface / set

is it necessary to start on your strong toe, and do the second trick from your flipside?

maybe, in the rules, the word "flipside" could be replaced with "other", and still maintain the spirit of the competition?

The rules are as follows.
1) One submission video per person, sent to submissions@shredglobal.com on or before 11:59 PM PST April 20th.
2) The combo (5-tricks) must be started from a drop (with warmups kicks allowed prior to the first trick in the combo) and finished with a hand catch after the final trick.
3) The only rules is that the first 4 tricks must be set in the following order with the fifth being your choice
trick 1) Toe
trick 2) Flipside Toe
trick 3) Clipper
trick 4) Flipside Clipper
trick 5) and surface / set
–The Flipside designation meaning it is done from the other side then the original for the sake of this contest–
4) the judging criteria will be Creativity , cleanliness, and of course difficulty of the trick, with all three having the same importance for the sake of this event.
5) Any questions on any of this please email to submissions@shredglobal.com

So the rules don't say where the first trick must be set or if the first clipper trick should change body side or not.

Would this be ok:
Blur > Atomsmasher > Parkwalk (or) Dimwalk > Ripwalk > Montage Rake?

Anz, I believe that that combo is not acceptable. I think that an acceptable combo would be
atomsmasher> dimwalk>ripwalk> torque> ducking legover
Is that correct

Sorry I probably should learn the language before trying to understand it.

So the surfaces Dale mentions in the first posts are just where the trick should be set from, meaning that the fourth trick can end on toe so you can do the last trick from toe as well?

Hopefully I made it sound even more confusing.

Yeah the fourth trick can end on toe or any surface for that matter but it has to be set from clipper. The fifth trick can be set or caught anywhere.
Example
plo (this trick has to switch sides so assassin or magellan arent allowed)> dimwalk or frankenstein (it doesnt matter which clipper or toe you start with)> mobius> clown face (or anything that can be set from clipper)> anything you want

To clear it up the best I can (because I try to get rules from the community to make it fair)

Trick 1 - toe set to other toe catch
Trick 2 - toe set to any clipper catch
Trick 3 - clipper set to other clipper catch
Trick 4 - clipper set to any catch
Trick 5 - any set to any catch

Toe set legover > toe set butterfly > blurry whirl > clipper set anything > something awesome

w00t! I might even be able to make the cut on this one. It'll be lame as hell, but... at least I can meet the criteria. Gawd I suck so bad with ducks/dives I decided not to even try the last one.

yours needs to start on toe and next trick start on opp toe

so toe diving would work

trick 1 ....toe set opp toe catch
trick 2 toe set any clip catch
trick 3 that clipper to opp clip catch
trick 4 that last clipper to any thing
trick 5 anything to any thing

It's good. Diving ss mirage is setting from toe and catch on the other toe.
Then toe set diving butter - also acceptable.
