Sweet double-knee pop thing...
Sweet double-knee pop thing...
So I just rolled in to CalTech (first year Chem Engineering grad) and what do you know, one of the 10 other Chem E's loves to play footbag.
Shit like that don't happen every day!
Anyway he used to play soccer and busted this "new move" at least for me, it's so sick to look at and so simple.
ANYWAY... So you go like you're about to do a normal knee pop. Simultaneous to the bag making contact with that little notch behind your knee, you completely extend your hamstring (i.e. lower leg flies straight out). What the bag does is make one small bounce, followed by a huge straight up bounce.
Any one seen this b4?

okay, you kick the bag straight up. it's falling. raise your knee up like you're starting a knee kick too early. just before the bag hits your leg, kick out hard with your calf and straighten your leg. the bag will fall onto your leg and do a tiny, tiny bounce. then, you bring your calf back down, which brings your knee up quickly, and it pops the bag up in the air with a second kick from right above the knee.
another way to do this is to wait even longer before the bag hits your leg. *AS* the bag is hitting your leg, straighten your calf, and then immediately bring it back down. it makes for a very brief delay right above your knee while your calf is moving, and when you bring your calf back down, it pops the bag straight up.
sweet tricks, eh? I did lots of these in europe, super styley. I'll try and do some of these in my next video for examples.
