720+ spins

Post by C-Fan » 09 Feb 2012 09:34

Lately I've been thinking a lot about spinning that goes beyond double spins. What has been hit? What videos are out there? Who has hit what? And most importantly, what advice do these people have?

I'd like this thread to be the place for 720+ spin videos, tips, and discussion.

What 720+ tricks have been hit?

 Triple spinning clipper. Brian Bear has claimed this, and based on his attempts, I believe he's hit it. Wasn't there a video on the Joulukalenteri where Samu Ahola hits this? If somebody could find that and link it in this thread, I'd appreciate it. Has anybody else hit this? Are there any other videos of it? Have any other triple spinning tricks been hit?

 Double inspinning osis. Tuukka listed this in his top 5 tricks. I also seem to remember Allen saying he has done double inspins? Can somebody confirm? Anybody else hit double inspins?

Tips for triple spinning and double inspins

 I would love to hear tips from people who have hit triple spins especially. Based on my attempts at it, I've concluded that the last spin is pretty much totally blind. Is that true?

 For double inspins, I'd assume that it is similar to a double spin, in that the second spin is faster than the first. Is that the case?

Finally, are there any other 720+ spinning concepts that I'm unaware of? Maybe like inspinning sonic? In-sonic? Is that even 720+?[/url]

Jorden has hit toe->triple spin->toe. He was trying to add stuff to it, for Badassery, but never got harder than that.

Also, triple spinning clipper, from Jorden.

I haven't hit anything, but I would imagine the last spin would be the one you wanna spot the most. Missing one or two of the first spots wouldn't matter as much in theory if you've set straight.. Right? Also, I think Samu and maybe someone else hit triple spinning osis in some recent videos.

@Allen: Holy fuck that looked cool! 8O

I didn't realize that Olaf hit triple spinning osis in the Compromise, and i've seen that a bunch of times. I love the editing in that video, and think its one of the best vids in footbag, but for that particular trick I think the editing is confusing.

if im not mistaken, i seen a vid a couple of years ago that had klouda hitting a triple spinning whirl or butter. i knw it was more than a clipper.
He was in the middle of a street and it was in slow motion. it took me forever to find that vid cause its very hidden. good luck finding it

I suspect you're talking about King of Footbag where he hits double spinning whirl a few times, including back to back, and later in slow motion.

I am going to re-explore this, this week. I will see what tips I can come up with, can say you need a slightly above head high extremely straight set, along with great spinning balance. I have a couple theories on the footwork, i'll see what works best today.

I gave both of these a shot recently, and man, they are hard as hell. Any tips at all greatly appreciated.

Justin Dale told me a long time ago that Ricky Moran had started trying triple spinning clipper several years ago before he stopped playing regularly.

I hit Double Spinning Gyro Toe a little while ago. It gave me a feel for a possible triple spin on the future. I've never attempted it before. Doesn't seem impossible
